What a silly thing to say JI

It's not jump tonconclusuons because they suit an agenda is all in saying. People do stupid stuff for all sorts of reasons.

Hmm, that's never been said by you on your articles about other terror attacks.

What other articles?

Don't feign RDD..

But if you want to keep up the pretence, fine.

"It's not jump tonconclusuons because they suit an agenda is all in saying. People do stupid stuff for all sorts of reasons."

Wonder if you will say this in the wake of other terror attacks.

RDD, you must have such a miserable fackin life if the biggest kick you can get out of it is to go out of your way to annoy strangers over the internet.

Not to say I pity you, mind, I think your an absolute thundercant.

He drove a van at people.

We don't KNOW his target were Muslims. It's not like he drove into the no. He was some distance from the mosque and welfare house.

The reports of him saying he wanted to kill Muslims is uanusbtatniated. Eyetwitnesses also said there were 3 attackers which was untrue.

Finsbury Park suspect Darren Osborne's family 'in shock'

BBC reporting witness claims that suspect said "I want to kill Muslims". It's also got a handy map to show you where the attack took place.

Same claim in The Guardian who also name the witness;

Same claim in the Daily Mail about "I want to kill Muslims"

Knew it wouldn't be long before you reverted to type RDD.

Apologies for that.

It should read "you're", not "your".

Not in my mind and alot of people feel the same way.

The right wing media have been willing this on for along time now. Some of the articles by people like Katie Hopkins were literally a call for action.

The unified prayers and solidarity across communities that followed recent terror attacks are anathema to them. Extremists of both types want instead to divide society and will keep trying to bring this about by criminal acts of provocation such as this.
------------------------------
What is both strange and sad is that some mainstream media, like the sun and the daily mail, are actively mocking and dismissing the people who come together to help/pray/support each other after these attacks.

They wanted this to happen and have blood on their hands, imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is a very stupid thing to say and patronises the people that read these publications as if they're all some mindless automatons who jump when urged

That lack of tolerance you show there leads to just as much division between the left and the right as anything you accuse the Sun and Mail of doing

posted on 20/6/17

Why is it those that blame the media for this, are those that apportion no blame to the teachings of Islam for others?

If both publications did do as Ji claims then they deserve criticism no?

Indeed they do

But I've read plenty of balanced articles in the Mail which speak common sense which is never seemingly reported by people who accuse it of being 100% about hate - which is untrue

I can't speak for the sun as I only ever read it when someone leaves it behind on the train and the choice is that or the advertising slabs on the train wall

Robb

Did Ji accuse The Mail of being "100% hate"?

I haven't read either, and wouldn't read that rag that shan't be mentioned if you paid me. But if Ji's claim is the case then they deserve being called out on it.

Anyone who genuinely believes that the Mail wanted things like Sunday night to happen deserve to be called out

I very much like Ji as a poster but it was a scandalous claim

The Mail is renowned for peddling hate and division. It's not too much of a leap to suggest they wanted it to happen. It's what their headlines, columnists and contributors to comments have called for, retaliation.

god knows why you are making up stuff like "100% about hate".

If 1% of their articles have a divisive nature, and 1% of their readership use that divisiveness to further fuel their Islamophobia. Then it is dangerous.

And this works on the flipside too.... If 1% of speeches at mosques have a divisive nature, and 1% of their fellowship use that divisiveness to further fuel their western hate. Then it is dangerous.

Both are equally scary problems and need to be called out.

Do you blame Islam for other atrocities.

Other attacks were done solely in its name after all, and passages of the Koran are used to jusfify them.

My guess is you would not dream of it

Here's the Mails most high profile columnist

This doesn't seem to be calling for action. If you look you can find plenty of common sense and normal people writing columns

Piers is actually quite liberal... But that is after the fact anyway. Even Hopkins was backtracking, yesterday...

Why not dig a bit deeper and see the responses after Manchester?

I blame Islamic extremistism and those that carry out such attrocities. The same way I blame the Mail for peddling, and stoking, hate and division.

The onus is on you to produce articles where the columnists call for action like Sunday night in Finsbury Park

and if it isn't abuntantly clear....

Just like a don't blame all muslims for any attack... Of course I don't blame all daily mail readers for any attack.

I just have no problem raising the idea that these publications have fuelled the fire... Just like hate preachers can fuel the fire on the other side. The fire is then further fanned in forums and whatsapp grounds until something happens.

You can shoot me down for my views, but that doesn;t mean your's are correct.
