We've spent £6 million so far and only lost Roberts on loan.

Injuries have obviously hampered us, 4 first team players out injured all at the same time would hurt any team.

Not signing a back up striker is biting us on the erse though.

Everyone was happy with our business 2 weeks ago fs. Short memories.

That old cliche 'We can't play any worse' we can, but surely we won't
========

the other part of this is we don't know that rosenborg didn't play bad, they might be much better at home.

Yeah, the next leg was at home and we conceded.

We haven't this time, 1 goal for us and they need two and so on.

It was a terrible performance but it's still very much alive and we have a very good chance of qualifying.

Poor performance last night but these things happen. We will not play as poorly again. No player apart from Graig Gordon gets a pass mark. To play so badly and come away with a 0-0 is remarkable. We have the opportunity to redeem ourselves next week in Norway

i'm a realist

see where we are next week, if we go through then great, just astounded anyone would have been happy with the draw or think we would cruise it.

A few good crosses went in but there was nobody there at all.

Forrest got on the end of one in the first half and proceeded to shut his eyes and let the ball bounce off his head instead of attacking it and putting his head through the ball.

All in all was just a horrid game to watch. Quicker next week comes the better to get it out the system!

I've already said it's not based on last night.

It's based on the fact I know we can play much better and have a very good team.

If Griff doesn't make it then it'll be much more difficult obviously but I'm not going to lose confidence in that team after one game ffs.

Gordon got pass marks and I thought Armstrong was our best outfield player. Even though I was fuming with his free kick effort towards the end.

Boyata a big miss for us in games like that where we get set pieces too.

Rosenborg were fit, efficient and well drilled as a team. However they were pretty poor quality wise, just just hard to break down.

I'd agree with that RnR.

Nothing about them really scares me for going over there, my concern is how we play and hopefully with another week's training we'll be sharper and fingers crossed Griffiths is at least fit for a place on the bench.

Worrying though isn't it. Striker or not, we shouldn't be playing as badly as that.

Rodgers has a week now to work on what the best team for the away leg is. We started off well last night and the ball posession was very good but we lacked penetration. Defensively, we were fine up until later on in the second half when they found holes as we looked for a goal. Ajer did fine against a very experienced centre forward, but he wasn't MOTM. None of the players played that badly, although I know Forrest is getting singled out for singular treatment, but none of them played very well either.

We're still pre season and Rosenberg are mid way through theirs, and that showed at times last night. There's not much we can do about that, but the score last night wasn't the worst we could have had. Not conceding gives us slightly the edge. Any score draw or a win and we're through. Rosenberg have to win the next game outright no matter what.

It'll be nervy and I'm not overly confident, but I wasn't that confident last night either anyway!
