Time will tell but yeah, it has looked recently like he’s trying out more stuff that he’s not all that good at. He may we’ll get better at taking on his man in more static situations, but he’s definitely a work in progress in that regard.

Regarding him and Haaland, I would be massively surprised if neither of them signed for Madrid at the end of next season. Bale will finally be off our books, Ramos is already, and if Varane is also gone we ought to have huge room on our wage bill.

If Haaland does go to Chelsea this summer I reckon that would knock any Madrid deal on the head for a few years, which would be uncomfortably reminiscent of what happened with Hazard.

You'll need it for Haaland by the sound of it.

There’s rumours that Mbappe will let his contract run down at PSG and go to Madrid for free next summer.

I think Haaland will end up in England first, then go to Spain in a few years.

I would like to think we could use the opportunity to play with Sancho again to our advantage.

If Haaland doesn't leave Dortmund this summer which I don't think he will then we'll surely be fighting tooth and nail to sign him next summer.

Haaland if I’m right will be available for €80M, which is small change for such a coveted player. His wages are going to be astronomical. I don’t know what kind of wriggle room the top PL clubs will have, but as well as Madrid they might also have to fight off the likes of Bayern and who knows if PSG.

If it boils down to money, nobody is going to be able to outbid an Mbappe-less PSG.

Whether he'd want to go to PSG is another matter. I'm not so sure he would considering his career so far has been geared toward what's best for him from a footballing POV.

I don't think it's a deal Bayern will be anywhere near either.

I’m not sure we’d pay the wages and fees needed to get Haaland. I’ve a feeling we’ll be looking to cut ties with Raiola as well. Look at how much hassle he’s caused us with Pogba, he’s going to be an even bigger cuuuunt with Haaland.

ioag, I don’t think it’s just about money. I get the impression Spain and England are two leagues he wants to test himself in.

But I dunno what’s gonna happen with Barca and Madrid next year. Could well end up at either one. Laporta and Perez have had their nose put out of joint by the English clubs, so I think they’ll be absolutely desperate to get Haaland ahead of them.

That's why I don't see it happening but I'm sure we'll be considering it and weighing it up financially.

Pogba and Mbappe could be free agents next summer but I doubt that would be allowed to happen

Career-wise it might make sense to get him to England before Spain, it very much depends on what agreements Raiola and Haaland’s old man come to.

BvB was a great career move, but I wouldn’t say Haaland needs to play in England in order to prepare him for Spain. I’d almost be tempted to say it’s the opposite nowadays.

TRS, why not Bayern, because of the wages involved? The circus? I know they haven’t traditionally engaged in the “arms race” between the super clubs, but they’re very much in a position where they can now, and they are going to need to replace Lewa pretty soon.

The “if it’s on money alone” caveat about PSG is an important one, but they’re going to be one of the top dogs in Europe for the foreseeable future, so it very much depends on how much stock Haaland/Raiola put in domestic titles.

If it’s global exposure outside of CL weeks then it’s the PL waaay ahead of any other league right now.

Yeah I don’t think it matters which league he plays in first. I think he will play in both as it’s something he’s said, I believe.

The reason I think that he will end up in England first is due to the finances making that deal more likely. But as I said, Barca and Madrid are unpredictable.

Ramos is gonna sign for PSG, breaking across French media right now.

Any idea what the highest PL salary is right now?

Hakimi, Donarumma and Ramos is a decent window

If I’m not mistaken it’s De Gea’s 350k a week wage

Yeah think it’s De Gea.

PSG mean business this summer.

Yeah ioag I think it's partly down to the wages involved but also down to them having Lewandowski as well who I think could carry on for another few years at a similar level and I'm not sure Bayern are that keen on doing business with Raiola.

They had interest in Dumfries but I think it went away pretty quickly because there was too much money involved.

I’d love it if Bayern got Haaland and sold us Lewandowski.

Why do people talk shiiit about players they've clearly not seen or in this case understood what they're watching from a facking YouTube video?

Some of the things I've seen spoken about Sancho are baffling.

That’s nothing. I’ve read some people today congratulating Spurs for hiring an attacking manager!

I’d be surprised if Haaland doesn’t command northwards of 400k if not 500k pw.

Has there been many cases of an ex footballers kid being so much more talented than their parent? Weird how good Haaland is compared to his father.
