Loser pool without the merking should be banned
To be fair to them, most of the Lpool bunch here have been gracious enough given the circumstances.
Sarri* not Sarto whatever the fack my autocorrect wanted
ADL kncked back Chelsea offer of €4m. He wants Sarri’s release clause paid in full.
What will happen if Chelsea refuse to pay, will Sarri be working alongside Carlo ? Or will he resign ? This is turning into a game of poker.
If ADL manages to pull it off, which seems very likely, he will be considered as the most toughest negotiator in world football

Chelsea would have to fork out nearly €20m to pay off Conte and his back room staff. Then shell out €8m for Sarri. That’s a transfer fee to acquire a decent player.
In the event Chelsea decides to look away and maybe continue with Conte. What will happen with Sarri now that he has been replaced ?

Bakayoko was seen a potential investment, given his age and resale value etc.. you don’t get that with Managers really
Since Marina took over the negotiations, Chelsea have tightened their purse strings.
You'd imagine Chelsea won't want to draw this out too much longer, unless they don't intend to give the new manager much of a say in the transfer market.

There used to be more Barça fans than Madrid fans on here and the old Beeb site.
What happened?

The head coach doesn't have the final say in the transfers anyway. Chelsea should hire a DOF first, then bring a new coach if they decide to part ways with Conte.
Not the final say, but certainly input as to priority areas and player types, I'd presume.

Off course. The head coach would certainly ask for players with certain characteristics that would fit his style of play. Then it's the job of the DOF to find players with certain characteristics via their scouting network.
Only Wenger and SAF had absolute powers in their respective clubs.
Chelsea seem drawn to Napoli like a moth to a flame. Sometimes the flame is in the shape of Kouilibaly. Or of Ghoulam Or Cavani. Every time, though, the result is the same: we get singed.
This time the flame is in the shape of Sarri. And hey! What’s that burning smell? Yes, it’s Napoli — specifically, tempestuous hard-bargainer ADL — once again applying the heat
Napoli’s most famous nickname is the Partenopei Gli Azzurri (The Light Blues) but did you know they also have a secondary nickname, rather like Chelsea used to be called The Pensioners?
Know what it is? Ciucciarelli. It means The Little Donkeys. Perfect nickname, because donkeys are stubborn creatures. And as we’ve found out over the years, so are Napoli under ADL.
Now I know why Forza is fond of donkeys
And because Sarri was earning the paltry (in football terms) sum of €1.5m a year, The Little Donkeys can afford to dig their heels in and wait for the Chelsea cash register to ring up the big number they’re demanding.
And what happens if the buyout deadline passes without a deal being struck? It’s murky, but it looks like as long as Napoli keep those paychecks coming, Sarri can’t just up and quit, according to Italian law. Which means Chelsea can’t sign him. Which would delay our summer planning.
Altogether, the whole thing is painfully familiar. Delayed summer activity. Difficulty in dealing with Napoli. Confusion.
Moth. Flame.
