Cádiz in the 5-way scrap for the final playoff spot. Gonna be hard, especially to pick team morale up after conceding an injury time equaliser at home to Tenerife yesterday.
In all likelihood, we'll need to beat Granada away on the final day and pray that Valladolid get a result against Osasuna.
As they stand:
64 Cádiz
64 Valladolid
64 Osasuna
62 Numancia
62 Oviedo
Final week fixtures:
Granada-Cádiz
Valladolid-Osasuna
Numancia-Leonesa
Oviedo-Huesca
Granada don't really have anything to play for, but Osasuna have the head to head over Cádiz, so will go into the playoffs if the beat Valladolid away. Cádiz have the h2h over Valladolid, but Osasuna would come out on top in any 3-way tie.
Oviedo and Numancia only come into the picture if both of the other games end in a draw. Haven't worked out what happens in the event of 4- or 5-way draws.

he's signed a contract with a league side
Good news, peks. I hope the overseas stint proves to have been a good experience for him. From what little I've seen, he appears to have the quality to do well.

It's ironic that Germany have always had outstanding goalies yet two German 'keepers have gifted us the Champions League this season.

i've been reading the main LFC fans forum today RAWK
absolutely comical the stuff been written about the match there
it's all a big conspiracy against them
There's no better sight than a filthy scouser in tears lads
No way did Ramos think of injuring Salah there. It's ridiculous. Salah fell squarely on his other shoulder, not the one Ramos locked onto, and by the time they hit the ground Ramos had already let go of Salah to cushion his own fall.
Plus, I'm not sure Ramos is even smart enough to devise a way of injuring an opponent that doesn't involve simply booting him straight up into the air.
hearing dani carvajal is out for just 2 weeks..so may still make the WC squad
I was wondering what happened to him because he walked off fine
he's been getting injured regularly the last 18 months, not good.
yeah i agree.
maybe not taking him would be the best option..as he's quite likely to break down during the WC
Not really. 15/16 was actually his worst for injuries.
This year's hammy was very recent. He only barely made it for the final, and it's not unusual to tweak other muscles that have been forced to work differently during an injury layoff.
His only other spell out this season was due to a viral infection in his pericardium, not an injury.
What makes them more noticeable is that he's tended to suffer injuries in big games (final two years ago, semi last year, QF and final this year) - and that might not entirely be a coincidence.
Just speculating here, but it could point to stress-related issues, which people might remember was also a problem Iniesta suffered from a lot earlier on in his career.
Learning to cope with stress is an important part of a pro footballer's career if you're prone to suffering from it. Many promising players' careers have run aground due to stress and anxiety-related problems.
By the way, before anyone thinks I'm some kind of weird Hafibot, transfermarkt lists players' injury records and is pretty well organised and easy to access!
