YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Funny that Levy doing it on the sly while everyone's attention is focussed on the ESL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s to try and get fans back onside

Madrid, United and Chelsea fans too.
Finding it hard to give a fack about anything football related at the moment ioag.
Come on, TRS. Football is still the jumpers for goalposts game. United and Madrid being complete cants to the smaller clubs is nothing new either.
I don't think this compares to anything that's come before ioag, not even the break up of the Football League in 1992, not even close.
At least there was a sense of competition prior. This is just Americanism at its finest.
I look forward to our franchise moving to Las Vegas in 40 years time
You read that thing about ‘legacy fans’?
It just destroys football as a competition. They’ll be playing these games all around the globe, no doubt.
Van Gaal knew lads

TF1 reporting that José Mourinho "lost the dressing room" already weeks ago & had very tense relationships with several players - they are not to be dismissed as a source on this matter as they are close with a lot of the Francophile players at Tottenham.
Mourinho’s players hating his guts?? Surely not

They're selling it really well aren't they.
What soulless places stadiums will be if hardcore vocal support decide to pack it all in and walk away.
It'll be like an atmosphere in the MLS, shudders.

It's not like the fans of the US franchises aren't invested in their teams - it's pretty normal for there to be rioting in the streets of the city winning the NFL/NBA/MLB/NHL.
All that aside though, Perez is the weirdest one of a very weird bunch of billionaires. He has nothing to gain from this in terms of personal wealth, as he can't extract a penny from the club.
He is basically schitting all over Madrid's legacy just because he has this megalomaniacal fantasy of one day being seen as the new Bernabeu.
Bernabeu is considered to have the driving force behind the creation of the European Cup. Perez thinks he'll one day be remembered in the same way for creating the ESL, which instead will simply dilute the value of everything the club has ever achieved in Europe.
Perez is going to he chairman, isn’t he?
Who will be the first player in support of this league? And why Ronaldo
Edin
Daz, yeah. I reckon it's basically an ego trip for him. I presume this decision will have to be signed off by the socios at the AGM, but up until now he's had the AGM eating out of the palm of his hand, nd Madrid fans have never been vociferous about their opposition to a ESL.
Joel Glazer is vice chairman, I think. That tells you everything about how bad this is.
Well, this is a surprise... Marca running opinion pieces against the Super League.
Ceferin saying players won’t be able to play for their national teams.
It becomes basically another Chinese super league with the only players joining us Lavezzi, Pelle and Oscar. Meanwhile our cancerous clubs are hung out to dry
Unfortunately they’ll probably just fack off their national teams. The Chinese Super League was never going to be a realistic threat to the status of European domestic football. This most certainly is as it’s the biggest, richest and most powerful football clubs in the world that are behind it.
While national football is off the cards though they won’t get the pick of the talent pool.
Lots of players and nations are country over club. Especially Brazilians.
I think you overestimate the loyalty to their national teams. The money they’ll be making will more than compensate them for not playing international football.
I’m sure there will be a few that will boycott it. But the very best players, in the main, probably won’t. And if that’s the case, they’ll have ruined international football tournaments, as well as domestic and European ones.
Football has died.
How the absolute fack have these cuuunts actually got together and thought all of this is a good idea ffs

Let's hope so. They're the ones who have the power to stop this right in its tracks and get this knocked in the head.
One thing I love is that apparently local councils have the right to strip the clubs of their names. Such a cheap shot I can’t wait for Lammy to pull the trigger
