Not wishing to be picky, but Edwards being subbed in a League Cup game doesn't bode well for him this season. Maybe a loan deal in January?

The more you look at it the more it becomes obvious he doesn't fit our system at all.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if he leaves, even by September if an offer came in.

End of an era for Edwards. We'll give him the honour of a free to Shrewsbury.

Wins a win, some positives from a few of the youngsters and hopefully a few things learned by Nuno and of course some fitness gained from Bonatini and a few others and good for dicko to score.

Some shocks tonight, Ipswich beat a lower league side for the first time in six or seven games.

Get used to this 1-0 scoreline. Many on here were wishing for a 20 goal season striker. Nuno is very good with his teams not conceding many goals. If 1-0 wins are going to get us promoted, then who needs a 20 goal a season striker? A couple getting 15 will suffice.

posted on 8/8/17

Not half as concerned as some with a 20 goal man but do think we need another good forward to run the line.

Goals will come from various quarters this season and the like of Cav, Costa, Jota, Dicko and possibly Bonatini will quite possibly break double figures

I'm willing to bet that we don't get any individual player scoring more than 15 goals this season. If we do go up I'll also bet, it'll be with the least amount of goals conceded.

Mendez-Laing, Davis, Fletcher, Forde, Cassidy, Elokobi, Griffiths all scorers tonight. Nazon too.

Ok game, seen worse in these early cup games. As well as a clear wish to not give the ball away cheaply, Nuno's teams play the game at a decent pace which makes it good to watch. Yeovil missed a sitter midway through the second half but Wolves were by far the better team. Graham did nothing but made the winner, Dicko did little but scored it. Defence never troubled with Boly again outstanding, and Norris looked good in what little he did. Price did ok and Bonatini impressed for an hour till he tired. But Ronan by a distance the best player on the field

Edwards unhappy when coming off, a tad 'petulant' a few claim.

I'd say his future at the club is looking very bleak cinci after that performance. No agenda just the truth in fact he was pi55 poor.

Who looked good tonight perton?

Sounded like Ronan was the best and Vinagre did well from an attacking perspective.
