Our tail end giving it a go
Already scoring more than our top 5 batsmen, love a tailender who doesn't care at all! sometimes the best way to attack, bowlers and fielders will have no idea where it's going
Partnership worth 22, added to the 29 from Broad and Roland-Jones will really hurt the West Indies here as they're some of the biggest partnerships of the match. Make that 28, a second 6 from Broady.
England all out 71 ahead. Have batting conditions got easier? We'll soon see.
After Stokes went with the score at 128 and Ali with the score at 135, 140 all out seemed on with the West Indies right back in the game. I can't believe we've dragged the lead over 70. Brilliant from Broad. Now lets get them all out before the end of play!
Top fightback from the tail, 71 is a decent lead especially with our attack
Tempting to open with Stokes but with Jimmy on for 500 and Broad buzzing, you can't not open with them.
Not sure he could've bowled a better ball to get to 500... well played.
Jimmy Anderson, you legend.
501 for Jimmy. What a jaffah.
Jimmy consistently lets himself down by his behaviour on the field. Great bowler but should respect opponents and umpires.... he's lucky he's only got 2 warnings here, should be off now.
Once he goes past McGrath he is 100% the best fast bowler ever and he deserves that.
He looks after his body well and has a great appetite for the game. We are talking about James Anderson, a world great. He is up there with McGrath, Ambrose, Walsh

a bit over the top imo, Anderson is a fine bowler but hes not in the class of the best fast bowlers that have played the game, McGrath, ambrose, marshall, akram, Lillie, walsh, think Anderson falls short against that lot, no shame in that but that praise is a bit ott
Here's to a true great of the sport.
Jimmy Anderson
Has Alec Stewart been taking his meds
Pretty even contest so far. West Indies have a 22 run lead with 7 wickets in hand. They quite easily could lose there last 7 wickets for around 50 runs or they could have a few decent partnerships and score another 200+ runs.
Missed the fackin lot today. ...wedding prep for No1 son
Can see the Windies put on 200+ here, the wicket isn't as lively as day one, will be close test here but I'm sure we'll sneak a win,
Shai Hope looks like a cracking batsman
West Indies have done enough in this test to justify that theyve had a good series overall.... Can build a decent team if they stick with some of these players
It seems every time there is a break in play, West Indies seem to lose a wicket. Whether it be start of play, a drinks break, break for bad weather, they seem incapable of lasting five minutes into a new start without losing wickets.
Not sure I've ever seen so many dropped catches.
Looks like another three day test match. Test cricket is all but finished. One exciting finish like the last Test in about 100 Tests is hardly going to attract new supporters to watch the five day game, which invariably seems to finish in three days. Far too many one day players now who cannot play Test match cricket.
If they would stop dropping the catches it would be over a lot quicker.
Another truly horrendous one day shot sees the West Indies lose their sixth wicket.
