I don't mind Klopp denying it in public. Our failed pursuit of VVD has probably affected the likes of Lovren. This is what we've got for now so I don't see why he should come out and say anything else. What would he gain? It won't improve the defence if he admits it's crap in public.
If Klopp was admitting it and we continue to ship goals, he'd still be getting more stick.
Obviously he wants a CB. It was near the end of the window, with a VVD deal improbable that he started saying he was happy enough.

How sure would you be that your defensive problems would be sorted with signing VVD? I don't disagree that most of your defenders are pub standard, but it's also the style of play that always leaves them exposed.
I also think your midfield doesn't offer enough protection to the back four, and your defenders don't trust Mig much. A back four always needs to have confidence in the keeper behind them, without it then you'll see the same mistakes happening.

the style means our defenders are on the ball more or fullbacks far advanced and no shield infront of the cbs with a high line meaning they are more prone to mistakes. However thats not an excuse for the amount of them a lot are just unacceptable with the few you can accept as part and parcel, the set piece joke is not acceptable both attacking and def or the keeper fiasco.
Klopp like Rodgers seriously needs help with set piece coaching and defensive coaching, people are saying he doesnt even have a def coach at the club.
vs Burnley there was numerous set piece takers and numerous routines it looked asif it was just do what you want lads, who ever wants take one step up and have a go, was half expecting Mig to run up and take a few.
