Assume you'd feel the same judgement should apply to those accessing Islamic terrorist manuals?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was my initial reaction, one law for the misguided clever white boy one for the terrible, brainwashed brown boy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Grouchy and hec playing politics and the race card.

Then grouchy denies doing so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll await your example of when a brown extremist escaped jail time because he was bright and just needed to broaden his education a bit...tick rock...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think judges go easy on certain people, based on colour?

Surely each individual case has its complexities and passed criminal record are paramount, but if you think it is about pigmentation, who am I to argue?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't think there were any examples and thought you might have been more aware.
The point wasn't really about skin colour, though granted I used brown, it was about the benefit of the doubt being shown in this particular case, a benefit I don't believe would be shown to a brown boy in the same position.
I'm sure you read the other replies where I also said I was all in favour of not ruining a young life for youthful idiocy, regardless of race, creed or colour.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If the tables were turned and a brown boy was given the same benefit of the doubt then Tommy Robinson and the whole far right brigade would have it plastered everywhere and the Spectator would write a special about it. "Releasing a dangerous person who has shown an inkling to commit a terrorist act back into the population! This country has lost it!! Run for the hills"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can imagine the headlines in the Mail, Express et al

Posted this earlier but worth a read.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/849200/statistics-on-race-and-the-cjs-2018.pdf

White offenders have had a consistently lower average custodial sentence length (ACSL) for indictable offences than all other ethnic groups since 2014.
In 2018, White offenders had an ACSL of 18.3 months compared to 29.1 months for Asian offenders, 28.0 months for Black offenders, 23.3 months for Chinese or Other offenders and 22.2 months for offenders from Mixed ethnic groups.

TBAB has me filtered so wouldn’t have seen it.

At least Tbab's appearance has, if nothing else, added a few pages to the thread.

Because we're indulgent leftist or Liberal Corbynista democratic, elitist metropolitan do-gooders always striving to see the best in people, even blinkered, determined no-hopers.

Anyone catching up here's a quick summary of one of the topics those many pages:

A: "This article appears to support great replacement theory. It's a disgrace"

B: "You're saying that because it's a right wing source. A child could do that. Biden, Blair, Corbyn, Remain, Starmer,, Isis, Taliban, Putin, China"

A: "No, it's because GRT is abhorrent"

<quick google>

B: "GRT is this, I have always said it's a bad thing you're lucky I'm here to help you on this one. Clearly the source you referenced has gone too far with this article I haven't read. Biden, Blair, Corbyn, Remain, Starmer,, Isis, Taliban, Putin, China"

A: "Yeah, that's what I said, that's what everyone said."

B: "Biden, Blair, Corbyn, Remain, Starmer,, Isis, Taliban, Putin, China"

What's the source on that?

If I understand "remanded in custody" correctly (probably not ) then could it suggest black males are more likely to have false accusations taken to court?

The link Fields used.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The stat I quoted is average custodial sentences across all offences.

What has cherry picking sx offences stats got to do with it?

You may be onto something but "remanded in custody" is what happens before trial/sentencing so doesn't necessarily mean what you're saying

White right wing nationalist given suspended prison sentence and ordered by judge to read the classics and report to him for a test, to prove he has read and understood.

Some suggested the same punishment wouldn’t be given to other offenders of different nationalities.

TBAB questioned this. Stats in link I posted show average sentences for offenders of all convictions less for white offenders then black, Asian, Chinese (all descriptors used in the report).

Don’t know what JS is getting at highlighting remanded in custody for one particular offence whilst accusing me of cherry picking stats to suit

I was about to say we haven't had white supremacist terrorist attacks in the UK so maybe that reflects on this case

But then I remembered Jo Cox, an MP and mother of two
