Pawls got his finger on the pulse, him and all the Biddy's at the school gate still think Salmond is part of the SNP and Corbyn is part of Labour. Wouldn't surprise me if they thought Paddy Pantsdown was still Lib Dem leader.

Tbab, you’re an analogue guy in a digital world.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have not seen the natzi fleg or Confederate fleg at protests, but take the word of those saying so.

Maybe I am just old school.

Maybe, I just call it as I imagine it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fixed it for ya.. that's generally what you do
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha.

On your Current Events thread, where you largely have a dialogue with yourself and sizzle, you state there must be no insults, personal or otherwise, no incitement and no wumming, LMAO.

Yesterday, as predicted, you used Putin's invasion to point score, even though you said you did not think Putin would invade. When this was pointed out to you, the excuse was Russia has not invaded due to what Boris-Biden said and did with troops, even though these troops would not be in Ukraine to stop yanks...and it turns out troop movements to NATO lines has not put mad Vlad off, even though Hector said Putin "shat it" last Wednesday, in another insightful military and historical comment😂

The demand for links to show Khan is crap or trucker protestors have not been labelled far right racist natzis is silly, as even when links are provided, minds are made up already.

Now, Putin moving troops into Donetsk is being used as a told you so, point scoring mess, because nobody here knows what goes on in his head and we should not blindly walk into WW3, imo.

Do you want NATO troops going into Ukraine right now to remove Russians?

Russian leader describing Ukraine as a puppet of the west, that was only created by communist Russia, so Vlad is doubling down now, as his forces enter Donetsk and Luhansk to "maintain peace" there.

After the pro-Russian pres of Ukraine was deposed in 2014, for a more pro-western leadership, Russia invaded and that was a mistake, imo, as it made Ukraine look at themselves and their neighbours, even though culturally and linguistically, Ukraine was linked to Russia.

As a USSR KGB man, Putin wants to turn the clock back, and the expansion of NATO from 1997 onwards means Russia is last man standing of the Soviet era.

If Ukraine joins NATO and the EU, Russia has their enemy on its borders on several fronts, so Putin is pushing back....one last hurrah of the motherland, possibly?

With UK and American troops in the new NATO nations, it is doubtful if Truss and co are correct, in forecasting Russian advances into Estonia or Poland, and as Ukraine is not in NATO, no Western boots will march towards Donestk or Luhansk, therefore Putin could in theory annexe the whole South East, where 700 k Russian passports were handed out, among ethnic Russians.

If Russian just claims Donetsk and Luhansk, war may be averted and Moscow appears willing to accept sanctions in doing so.

Depressing and fascinating times we live in.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Them claiming two MORE regions of Ukraine just isn't acceptable..

Are we going to keep allowing them to do this every few years? When does it stop? Do we do the same with China who are eyeing up Taiwan?

When Germany started this sort of expansion at the start of ww2 should we not have intervened earlier? These are people with a democratic right to self determination. Do we no longer care about such things?

Is Putin right to say Ukraine doesn't have a right to exist?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally for now before work, Russia and China are legacies of far left gone crazy in power, under banner of USSR, or communist party.

At least Labour are now calling them out, rather than being a bit soft of Eastern European "socialist" regimes, for example.

Poor jezza could hardly bring himself to call out Putin for Salisbury poising, for goodness sake, and criticism of China was deemed racist here and abroad?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
China is absolutely not or has been far left wing. It's very right wing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are so far left they end up further right than facists, but that is communism for you, be it in China, USSR, Cuba.

If only the GOP, Cucker on Fox, trump etc could be “calling out” Russia over this 21st century lebensraum we may have a stronger US standing against it.

Where was “criticism of China” deemed racist?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evening.

Whenever China was brought up on occasion, in relation to pollution, Oppression of Muslims, COVID 19, Hong Kong, suppression of democracy and dissent, this was because people did not the Chinese, when it was the govt being blamed, not the people.

Back when Dave posted here, and elsewhere on social media.

Perhaps after so many futile wars and American casualties, Americans are right to be wary of sending sons and daughters thousands of miles away to confront Russia?

As usual, America and UK police the globe, while Europe and rest of the world do not send in boots on the ground??

Putin is losing it, imo, but the UN and EU etc have to step up, if troops are the solution, which I disagree with.

Sanctions only go so far, IF Russia decides to take Ukraine and move into NATO lands, so do you forsee and support a potential ,WW3, mate?

Out of interest, I asked what the difference was between a Russian and Ukrainian, with their shared history, language, culture and land area, and why they have to fight each other at all?

Other than Putin being a tyrant of course.😳

But Ukraine and Russia are so alike, it is crazy they end up in conflict now.

The Tories want footballers to boycott the CL final if they make it to make a political point. Doesn’t want footballers to take a knee as it’s a political point.

🤔
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought taking the knee was a generic apolitical gesture against wayyysism....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don’t get your point here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It isn't fair to suggest politicians are opposed to political points if you are a woke dullard who sees knee taking as apolitical.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sport and politics shouldn't mix unless one agrees with the political point being made during the sport.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Players pick and choose what irks them.

For example Newcastle players will take the knee but say sweet FA about the murderers who have taken over the club.

It's all a load of bollox when you think about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NUFC and Chelsea, same cheek of the same sh1tty arze!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

As opposed to the wonders of Celtic - which is not remotely sectarian and or racist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He shoots he scores!Sorry!

My club isn't a vehicle for reputation washing, I'm sorry yours is. I'm sure you don't want a t1t for tat about our clubs racism issues because I'd win.

I'd wager the majority of wars are waged between those with as much in common as Russians and Ukranians.

In fact, I'd go as far to say, across the world we all have far more in common that we have that differs, but some people will always find a reason for a punch up.

True enough, family and neighbour disputes, but as Russian and Ukrainian share do much in common, including land, language, culture and history, it if sad they could not kill each other.

Putin messed up invading in 2014 and he just makes matters worse today, but hopefully ear is averted and he does not take all Ukraine.
