Ukraine have apparently shot down a plane with 150 Russian paratroopers on board. BBC can’t verify the claim but if true Ukraine are holding their own.

The sad truth is the west and NATO are afraid to send troops into Ukraine to fight Russia....and Putin does not believe Ukraine is a separate state, but ancient Russian soil.

An opposition party leader and female MP named Radik expressed support for Zelensky and she vowed to stay in Kyiv to resist Putin, so some true heroes emerging, but part of me fears the worst will happen to them😰

Watching news this morning and presenters saying we stand with Ukraine, they are us, showing the faces of Ukraine people fleeing to Poland, condemning Putin etc etc, while another news channel interviewed Camilla.
One was GB news and the other was the bbc live at exactly the same time, but guess which was which?
Fair play to GB news guests Claire Muldoon, Petrie Hosken, and presenters Stephen Nixon, once of Sky and Anne Diamond, in a superb paper and news review ?

Bit unfair, I could probably turn the TV on now and see the BBC running a piece on Ukranian refugees whilst GBN is running an ad for Cif.

It's flagship program was blaming NATO for the invasion and in multiple clips they parrot the same "don't poke the Russian bear" line which is clearly Kremlin propaganda

Interesting that several seem to have very significant holdings in the UK (and links to the Conservative Party).
Those UK investments you would have thought would have actually made them particularly useful targets for UK sanctions.
Looking forward to seeing the govt quizzed on why they’re getting a free pass when the US and EU have targeted them…

The govt line we have a "tranch" of sanctions lined up which are the "most comprehensive in the entire world" (always world leading aye) but of course we aren't doing them yet so the Tory donors have a chance to move assets about first
