According to the papers today, it looks like government ministers have been saying that people shouldn't get pay rises and everyone should just work harder.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So working harder on a fixed salary will nullify the huge rise in fuel and power bills and offset rampant inflation.

It's the Tories, what does anyone expect?

If you elect 1%ers they wil govern for the 1%..

This is the cancer stage of capitalism, it's a system that needs periodic crashes and failures to address the gross inequality, we are headed towards an inevitable recession, when so few of the population can afford luxuries the whole system falls apart, you either need to bridle capitalism, with government policies to ensure it doesn't leave the staff generating wealth behind the shareholders, or you need scandi-style policies to redistribute wealth

The Tories will do neither, and yet they will still receive huge vote shares, when the lower classes fail, the upper classes will suffer too.

A great example of peak capitalism is royal mail,

Cant afford to give postie's a wage rise because they paid out £400m to shareholders, double their previous highest payout.

When challenged on it the CEO said "Team, since 2017 workers have had 45% more money in wages, than shareholders have had in dividends, you have been fortunate!" (He starts every message addressing frontline workers with "team"

As if people contributing no value to the company should be getting equal benefit to those generating the value?

The second one was just yesterday

"Team, to those saying "£400m was a 12% wage rise for ALL staff" please remember that we couldn't have afforded that every year, so it was right to give the money to shareholders"

He got a 3.6% wage rise and a £140k bonus, we are getting 2%, in August, backdated to April and a £200 "loan" in out July wages to help with the cost of living crisis

I couldn't believe how popular the Tories were in Newcastle until I watched QT on Thursday night - That's assuming it really was a representitive audience.

The Jarrow Marchers must be spinning in their graves.

Aye I raised that point yesterday, and then usual demographic. Middle aged bald angry red faced racists bemoaning the opposition instead of the government in power for the last 12 years.

Fortunately Newcastle has a Labour run council is a Labour city so I don’t think they’re hugely representative of that area.

Pekerhead doesn't understand that. Probably doesn't know Kyiv is 700 years older than Moscow.
Just more proof if how YouTube addiction can destroy a brain if one actually was in possession of a brain to begin with.
