🚨BREAKING🚨 Liz Truss just attempted to fax her letter of resignation to No. 10, and has set fire to the toaster.

I wish Starmer spoke about this supposed tax cuts. The government literally increased NI contributions and now have a slight cut and think the slight cut is worth celebrating.

I also with he had spoke a little about how much the government are making on the 57p they make for every £1 of fuel we put into our cars. The fuel increase is lining the pockets of government.

I also wish Starmer was stronger RE brexit. Let's admit irs a huge mistake.

Honestly, I hate how the gov get the blame for the price of fuel...

It's the fuel companies setting the bloody prices, and they are posting record high profits, if they dropped it to £1 a litre tomorrow the government's % would fall in line with it.

Did you see the 5p duty cut passed on a month ago? I didn't, it went straight in the pockets of the fuel companies shareholders.

Not often I'll go in to bat for the Tories, but this narrative really grips my shiiiiiit, theres one group of people responsible for the cost of living crisis and its shareholders, the demand for ever increasing dividends and share prices has created this toxicity, it's a profits crisis, it's facking Victorian, the 350 wealthies companies in this country are making 72% more than they did pre pandemic... But they need MORE

The higher the price of fuel, the more of those 57p per £1 they make. Its crazy to think the government would not drop that 57p considerably without the need of it being up for debate on it being passed down.

I agree with you RE the fuel companies, but the government tare there for us. For you to not even suggest they should drop the tax on fuel is what annoys me. They make more money the more the price goes up,yet don't pass that on to us.

Meanwhile the treasury is making almost twice as much VAT revenue on the price of fuel than it did when petrol was £1.00 a litre.
