Ginge

When you say suffer do you mean, unable to pay the rent, get a mortgage, get social housing, get a GP appt, get a hospital appt or even cancer treatment as quick as you need it. Or perhaps suffering from cold or hunger, homelessness or working a full week then having to go the food bank to feed your family, or make the choice between heating and food?

All of the above is a ‘shambles’ (a mild description at best, more of a total understatement) according to you. Yet you’ve still not got over the ‘suffering’ you endured shy of 20 years ago and will tolerate more of the above before voting Labour.

Regardless of any party I'd settle for some people who are simply bright and competent. That's it. If we can throw in not being a corrupt sociopath even better.

What I don't want is some multimillionaire. Why do they even want a £100k a year job? We know the answer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who would do that job if all they earned was £100k a year?

It always makes me laugh when the party that left the "I'm afraid there is no money" note at the Treasury accuses others of crashing the economy!!?

The Covid contracts for mates is a silly criticism as well. When my fence blew down last year I got my mate to erect a new one. I could of looked around but why bother when I know somebody who'll do it for a few quid, a cup of tea and some digestives?

Don't know why so many Labour voters get wound up by Lee Anderson, Sunak has put him there to deflect attention away from governments problems and folk are falling right into the trap? He's a stooge and even Starmer knows that, he's just about the only Tory minister who he hasn't said should resign.

No I’m not saying that . I’ve said they have to go. Can’t make it much clearer and yes that means a Labour government.

All I know from their last innings was having no power 4 nights a week, schools closed, bodies piling up in morgues and hospitals, people not able to pay bills; our rent included at the time, unemployment and national strikes, rubbish piled in streets and the like.

What I’ve seen so far is non commitment on practically everything, reversal of policies and fence sitting. It hardly fills me with confidence.

Shambles is too weak a word admittedly.

What I mean I that you have to have some decent money behind you to want to be an MP.

£100k for all that daily abuse, your family being targeted, colleagues being murdered, stalked and/or threatened with the risk of being slung out of employment on the whim of the average voter.

No thanks

Ahhh right, yeah I get you but Sunak is (if you include his wife) tens of millions. Given what you've said about abuse, security risks on so on why exactly is he doing the job because I don't think it's benevolence.

It would be nice to have someone that actually cares and are not in it to sort out their cronies.

Sadly yes. childhood admittedly but even still.

More recently though, Blair and his bloodsucking family are hardly the epitome of what Labour is meant to stand for I’d suggest.

Maybe you can correct me

Don’t vote Labour, the Blair’s from 20 years ago scare me

Funny the weird different standards both parties are held to. How did the Tories get this far without riots I don’t know. Labour minister sneezes and you’ll go mental about it.

They will say anything to discredit the Labour Party as an alternative except the truth, which is of course, 'I'm in denial'.

The fact that it’s taken getting this far for Tory voters to meekly call this government a shambles is disturbing. Especially when you’ll hark back to the 70’s when considering the other option.

It’s like saying that criminal hasn’t committed enough crime before I’m willing to condemn them for what they are. These other lot stole a penny sweet in the 70’s though.

Yet again someone assumes as if I’ve just arrived at this thought.

As for the time frame, I was asked a direct question as you may recall. I don’t hark back to much in my life in all honesty and much prefer looking forward.

Not sure what your final paragraph is about to be honest.

It was an American financial crisis, really, which spread to Europe (primarily) and elsewhere due to European banks’ exposure to the same risk.

Brown should have done what the Icelandic government did and told the banks to fack off and deal with their own losses, rather than transferring them to the public accounts.

But it’s always the same, isn’t it?: borrow from the state and/or the public to gamble with, privatise the profits when you win (whilst doing everything possible to avoid paying taxes on them) and socialise the losses when you lose.

Then blame the incumbent government when the country’s debt soars

Tbf, they are to blame insofar as they didn’t let the banking system collapse entirely.

She sounds absolutely insane here. Completely unhinged.

“I have such great contempt for trans individuals and everything they are doing in society… I have yet to meet a single one who is a good person.”

What the actual feck

Don’t call her a transphobe, though…
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What a lovely person she seems

Think it was Just Shoot who used to defend her to the hilt/use her as an example of a black person reaffirming his views to add validity.

Facking joke that people still actually believe the state of the economy when Labour left office was anything to do with anything other than a bunch of not-as-smart-as-they-thought-they-were bankers and a toothless regulatory regime.

Mark Blyth described it as “the greatest bait-and-switch in human history”, and I’m inclined to agree with him. That people bought - and still buy into - that narrative is mind-boggling.
