Woolworths in Australia have given in to cancel culture now too, sadly.

They name chicken wings as boomerang wings (I think it’s common over there) anyway one Twitter account complained stating cultural appropriation #blm etc.

So Woolworths are renaming them.


For me herein lies the problem. You’re always going to get weird opinions, there’s 8 billion people ffs you’re going to get all sorts of weird sheet. But bowing to it is the problem.

We’re letting all sorts of small minority opinions make us change things; be it big or small. This is the trend that I am unhappy with currently. If I suddenly decide that ice cream is deeply offensive because of some distant historical role in racism or homophobia or whatever the latest and coolest thing to be a warrior against is, then they should stop making ice cream.

Not a very clever path we’re heading down.

Probably the only time I will ever say this, but I completely agree with Constantinople.

Expensive, smell horrible, damaging to health.
Never understood the appeal.

It's not deriding the flag though, it's just a general malaise around how a pretty useless bunch in govt hide behind it

I'm proud of Britain for a number of reasons and the flag isn't one of them

In less than ten years we’ve moved to such a nasty, bitter and angry place. This wasn’t too long ago and for me shows what a flag is all about. Being held by Mo just showed what Britain is all about.
