What's the point of it? Not intending to disparage the holocaust or anything, Germany having one I understand, obviously Israel having one I just question why we need one.
If they want to memorialize, build something to commemorate the chap that organized the kindertransport (?).

A national Holocaust memorial will be built next to Parliament, the Government has pledged as it re-stated its efforts to tackle antisemitism in the wake of the Hamas attack on Israel last month

How about a memorial for the holocaust being inflicted on the Palestinians for the last 70 years?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You really are a disgusting piece of work you know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming from the Islamophobe I would take that with a pinch of salt.

Why doesn’t this country have memorials for dead Muslims as well though? I’ve got no issue with the Holocaust one, but seeing as we’ve got history for causing the deaths of millions of Muslims then there should be a remembrance for them too.

There are War Graves spread across the World that commemorate people of every religion who died whilst fighting for Britain during the 2 Worl Wars and other conflicts.

These are paid for and maintained by UK taxpayers and I’m glad I contribute

Yeah because you date your friends for years, spend time with their families, learn about their culture, their food, their religion, talk about converting if we wanted to get married - you do all that if you hate or fear Muslims.

Meanwhile you probably don’t have a single personal friend who is Jewish. Never have. Never spoken to a rabbi, never been inside a synagogue.

You’re an ignorant child Arab.

I won’t take lectures from the disgusting likes of you who consistently refused to condemn what happened on 7 October and won’t have the balls to admit that you were probably quite happy with the scenes.

Any reasonable person condemns that, you haven’t.

You think about that.

The key question is though Satters, who goes first, ETH or the PM 😜
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ihahaha

I’m relatively indifferent about the two tbh. The problem with either leaving is who comes in??

As to who goes first, hmmm can ETH make it until the start of next season?

I’d probably say that ETH goes first
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indifferent? Interesting, do you think either are doing a good job? It goes without saying I presume that you still support the club despite the person leading it, is that the same for the political party?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think they've both done OK. Sunak has been extremely forgettable with occasional moments of stupidity, occasional moments of appealing to certain sections of voters. He's very bland and won't be remembered in any way.

Yes I would continue to support United regardless of the manager at the helm.

As to the Conservative Party - I don't really support it like I used to as it's not what it used to be. I'm the blue version of Labour Voters on here who look at Blair's Labour and Starmer's Labour and find that it doesn't represent them nor bears any similarity to traditional labour governments.

Both of these parties are long dead. I will probably not vote again in the next GE which I don't like to do but it's just a complete mess right now.

It has been quite rightly (although with the intention of mocking Tories) pointed out that consecutive conservative governments have spent spent spent and increased taxes, immigration numbers are still far too high for the country to handle:

https://www.statista.com/statistics/283287/net-migration-figures-of-the-united-kingdom-y-on-y/#:~:text=For%20the%20year%20ending%20December,net%20migration%20figure%20of%20606%2C000.

Much like Labour voters in the late 90s and early 2000s, I do not recognise this party that calls itself Conservative.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apologies for the delay in response, we’re going through a tough time atm. I’m sympathetic to not feeling you have a political home, I really don’t know which party I will vote for at the next UK GE. I’ll likely pivot towards individual candidates and what they are like; would you consider the same? I do it for local council elections where I vote for a real mix depending on what their work in the local community has been.

You’ll appreciate that I don’t share your views on immigration, but I intrigued by your belief that the Conservative Party, if I understand your perceptions correctly, are a party that have low migration as a core belief? Is that right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry to hear bro, hopefully it passes quickly & successfully.

Yes that’s right, as conservatives they should typically look to keep things as they are, maintain the status quo etc and they also talk talk talk about the numbers of immigration but they’ve done nothing to decrease them.
