Vast majority arriving to UK are from outside the EU
As we reported earlier, in the 12 months to 2023, immigration to the UK June 2023 was 1.2m (net migration is immigration minus emigration).

The ONS data shows the vast majority of arrivals were from countries outside of the European Union - 968,000.

While students account for the largest group of non-EU migrants, the same as last year, officials say there has been an increase in workers arriving to take up posts in the NHS and social care.

Yeah, there's tons of programs and government to government deals to bring health workers and other skilled labour to Europe, not just the UK. Denmark, Poland, Sweden etc

Not her family but I've met her husband on a few occasions. Me and her worked in the same department up to around 2018. Some of her family is on social media though.

Yeah, it's surreal but I only posted cause I knew her personally. I know a few people who have also lost loved ones in Gaza, she's not the only one and people post this stuff in the WhatsApp groups with their photos and kind words.
