What you see as building Xi sees as destruction. And he's right, Western living standards are on a downward spiral.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's what happens when you don't act in the best interests of all mankind
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Countries with liberal immigration policies are on a downward trajectory, while China (and Japan after many years of stagnation) are on an upward one.
Your hatred of the West is so strong you missed this point completely.

And what was is that caused stagnation in Japan…?

According to a 2022 report by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) the country needs at least 7 million foreign workers by 2040 just to meet its requirements.
Battling a falling birth rate and aging population, Japan hopes a combination of technology and immigration may go some way toward easing a critical shortage of workers.

More generally, the police have the power to impose conditions or restrictions on a protest to prevent serious public disorder, serious damage to property, serious disruption to the life of the community or to prevent intimidation of others. This power is outlined in the Public Order Act 1986 and amounts to limiting the route/location, the duration or the amount of people participating.
Why are you geniuses attacks our beloved police force for doing their job properly. Our police face danger and protect us from mass shooters and have enough problems without you hating on them and spreading hatred of them.
Also, from “ Structural Barriers to Wage Income Growth in Japan Prepared by Rui Xu and Kaustubh Chahande”
“ Stagnant income growth has limited Japan’s growth potential and depressed inflation for the last two decades. Average wage income has not risen since 1995, making Japan the worst performing country among the G7. The weak income growth, combined with the ageing population, puts downward pressure on domestic demand.…
the meager wage income growth is at odds with the tight labor market. By 2019, unemployment had dropped to below 2.5 percent while the female labor force participation rate rose to 54 percent. According to the Tankan survey, labor shortages were increasingly cited as binding constraints for firms’ growth. For every job seeker, more than two new job openings were available. Under such a tight labor market, it was puzzling that wage income had been stagnant.”

Excellent work from the police on this one tbh. They averted a disaster while still allowing the protest to proceed peacefully. They dealt conclusively with the trouble maker at the protest.

Nice, trying to switch the topic conversation after having your derrière comprehensively handed to you on real wages data.
And with that switch, you used almost the exact same sentence structure that Hec used when you accused him of creating a straw-man.
See the funny thing is, on this thread people left and right of centre know on finance and economics that I’m switched on, given my job and training.
And I’m more than happy to have a discussion about long term stagnation in Japan, if you’re up for it? It’s not an area I have any emotional attachment to, or perceivable bias, and so if you think you’ve got interesting perspectives and data to back up those perspectives, I’m all ears.

And what was is that caused stagnation in Japan…?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Long term thinking, now they've automated everything and aren't reliant on immigration.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shut the fack up you genius
According to a 2022 report by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) the country needs at least 7 million foreign workers by 2040 just to meet its requirements.
Battling a falling birth rate and aging population, Japan hopes a combination of technology and immigration may go some way toward easing a critical shortage of workers.

Escaping
This
I don't talk about a United world only because I want it but because according to my calculations, and those of experts, it is completely and utterly inevitable, whether people like it or not. It's a matter of when, not if.

No thanks. I don't subscribe to Western media propaganda about Japan and China. Things like real wages actually count, instead of abstract GDP measures. You fill your boots on it though.

I bet you a pound to a pinch of shiiit had a minority done the same at a far right march he'd be called a hero.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And rightfully so. You got a problem with that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't have a problem with it, I have a problem with someone thinking it's fine for a counter protester to be arrested because he had a Hamas are terrorists placard, especially when the people around him are chanting Yemen Yemen do us proud.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Counter protesting follows the same rules as protesting. Did he have a permit? Had he notified the police? Did he follow the law?
These rules exist for a reason, to protect people and allow for peaceful protests. You can't just budge in on an opposition protest which is complying with the law and expect to be given a cup of tea.l while breaking the law.
He should be charged with unlawfully protesting and disturbing the peace. Follow the law.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only organisations need a permit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More generally, the police have the power to impose conditions or restrictions on a protest to prevent serious public disorder, serious damage to property, serious disruption to the life of the community or to prevent intimidation of others.

Youre right, Xi is an individual and what does "the collective culture of Japan" if it doesn't infer to its people?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mambas views are extreme and subversive. There are laws against subversion in both Japan and China. Maybe you should look them up, as it's ignorant that you have no idea about them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they're not.

Facts you google to confirm your own bias but don't understand.
If you think they've been impacted by inflation and cost of living crisis anywhere near the US and Europe feel free to explain the fact that the BOJ didn't change it's interest rates. That should keep you busy for a month or two.

Fella has every right to protest just as the police had every right to remove him, their priority is to keep the peace, and i'd imagine, they deemed him a threat to that peace.
