Are you just googling stuff to confirm a view you've taken now? How pathetic. How about you learn to think for yourself.

Look at the Nikkei over the last 5 years, look at the FTSE

Which economy do you think is stagnant?

The met police are a fecking disgrace.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Delighted for this moron. His sole intention was to incite the crowd. Love how quickly his smile turns into tears
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet you a pound to a pinch of shiiit had a minority done the same at a far right march he'd be called a hero.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And rightfully so. You got a problem with that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't have a problem with it, I have a problem with someone thinking it's fine for a counter protester to be arrested because he had a Hamas are terrorists placard, especially when the people around him are chanting Yemen Yemen do us proud.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Counter protesting follows the same rules as protesting. Did he have a permit? Had he notified the police? Did he follow the law?

These rules exist for a reason, to protect people and allow for peaceful protests. You can't just budge in on an opposition protest which is complying with the law and expect to be given a cup of tea.l while breaking the law.

He should be charged with unlawfully protesting and disturbing the peace. Follow the law.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only organisations need a permit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More generally, the police have the power to impose conditions or restrictions on a protest to prevent serious public disorder, serious damage to property, serious disruption to the life of the community or to prevent intimidation of others. This power is outlined in the Public Order Act 1986 and amounts to limiting the route/location, the duration or the amount of people participating.

Why are you geniuses attacks our beloved police force for doing their job properly. Our police face danger and protect us from mass shooters and have enough problems without you hating on them and spreading hatred of them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I said, he didn't need a permit, and he was released without charge because he hadn't broken the law.

You were wrong, only organisations need a permit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A permit wasn't the only thing I mentioned though so what about the rest?

It was you that was wrong for calling the police some names for nothing but doing their job as per the law. Don't forget you're a genius.

He was arrested because he was shiite stirring and trying to rile people up so others, like you, can get angrier about peace marches for Gaza. Police probably arrested him for his own safety then released him without charge and told him to fook off from the vicinity.

You're all over the place

We're doing a comparison between countries in case you haven't noticed, what's the point of saying Japan has stagnated when real wages have taken the same trajectory as the UK?

You pointed out real wages have declined as if Japan was unique. It's not the UK has been doing the same thing for many year.

All other recent metrics for Japan, GDP PPP, Share index performance are positive.

And yet you're trying to make out Japan is a basket case when it didn't even have to raise interest rates, it's laughable.

UK real wages have declined since 2008. So now you've gone full barrel into accepting real wages as a metric of how a Country is performing, you have no argument that it's down to their immigration policy.

Thanks for falling into that trap. Bit predictable though.

Ah, I see. You’re not interested in a good faith discussion.

The only point where I have made reference to any other country was in the quote from the IMF paper which noted that real wage growth in Japan was lowest of G7 (including the UK I would presume?). And to be clear, you brought up real wages, I merely pointed out that they had not growth, using data.

I am not trying to make out Japan is a basket case. Please do provide quotes where I have tried to make that out.

Can you define “recent” please in your recent metrics comment? I thought we were talking about long term stagnation in Japan? How does GDP per capita compare to the rest of the G7? Do you have the figures to hand over a period of time?

Japan isn't and hasn't been fighting wars on multiple fronts. The total cost of these wars are infinitely more than Japan's GDP.

In fact, if we had directed even a fraction of resources expended in wars in foreign sovereign lands towards more beneficial endeavours, we wouldn't be in the hole we are in right now and everyone wouldn't hate us.

US debt now at 34 trillion dollars. UK near 3 trillion. Immigration has nothing to do with the west's failings when you look at the big picture.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope.

The point I made was that Japan and China are on and Upward trend while the US and UK are on a downward trend

For some reason you then tried to bring Japan's historic stagflation into it

Well let met throw your bad faith argument back at you, if immigration has worked so well in the UK how come Japan has a larger GDP PPP per capita? Shouldn't the UK with the number of people it's imported outstripped it easily?

And what do the growth forecasts look like for these countries?

Also feel free to compare a low immigration Country like China to a high one like US on these metrics.

So lets see, Japan doesn't rely on immigration and performs similarly to the UK.

China doesn't rely on immigration and outpaces the US

Now compare crime rates and you'll see where you're going wrong.

That's because you're a genius. They targeted him because he was a threat to the peace. After the threat had passed they let him go.

Imagine they let him go without any charges and right wingers still think they're the victims. They're always the victims.

If he was a Pro Palestine protester they'd have probably prosecuted him.

Countries with liberal immigration policies are on a downward trajectory, while China (and Japan after many years of stagnation) are on an upward one.

Your hatred of the West is so strong you missed this point completely.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
And what was is that caused stagnation in Japan…?

Nothing bad faith, you brought up a topic. I thought it interesting. And so was open to discussing it more 👍
