Nothing bad faith, you brought up a topic. I thought it interesting. And so was open to discussing it more 👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean what is there to discuss it was a combination of a number of thing, an asset price bubble similar to the uk, an ageing population. It's not really a secret.

Now if you're asking what caused long term stagnation I'll give you the same answer, long term thinking.

Why don't you compare freedom rates? Why just those parameters which you cherry picked?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, Japan fares better than the US and UK,

Next question.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What about China which you brought up?

Caught pants down trying to shift goal posts.

I thought we were talking about long term stagnation in Japan?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope.

The point I made was that Japan and China are on and Upward trend while the US and UK are on a downward trend

For some reason you then tried to bring Japan's historic stagflation into it

Well let met throw your bad faith argument back at you, if immigration has worked so well in the UK how come Japan has a larger GDP PPP per capita? Shouldn't the UK with the number of people it's imported outstripped it easily?

And what do the growth forecasts look like for these countries?

Also feel free to compare a low immigration Country like China to a high one like US on these metrics.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see from my response above, you brought up the longer period of stagnation in Japan, I thought it an interesting topic. Your hugely biased attitudes towards immigration in the UK are of little interest to me, we already saw your 1D views on immigration policy. I had hoped that a good and open discussion on reasons behind Japan stagnation (hint, immigration is only part of the story).

Yes it's lower on freedom.

Your point is?

iPhone's in Japan have a mandatory snapshot noise when using its camera, which cannot be removed, solely to alert young women that they might be being upskirted. The only country in the world to have this feature.

So let’s explore what “long term thinking” means. What does that mean to you? Can you point to policy announcements from different governments that help you reach that conclusion?

This is nonsense, because you then posted "wrong try again" to a genuine answer to your question. Not the actions of someone who wants a good faith discussion. But thanks for the attempted gaslight, and feel free to run along.

And what was is that caused stagnation in Japan…?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Long term thinking, now they've automated everything and aren't reliant on immigration.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Try again.

See?

So, now we’ve corrected your error, how about responding to my previous message. And I will take your apology of the false accusation of gaslighting as implied.

HE WAS RELEASED WITHOUT CHARGE DUE TO THE FACT HE HADN'T BROKEN THE LAW.

How many times do I have to post that?
=====
As many as you want. Doesn't make a difference if you don't explain what you mean by it. The fact that they let him go doesn't mean they did anything wrong by containing him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's no arguing with stupid.

You were wrong about the permit, so you're the last person to question someone's intelligence. Do some research first you dipstick.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pointing out Hamas is a terrorist organisation riles people up?

Why's that then?

The met police are a fecking disgrace.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Delighted for this moron. His sole intention was to incite the crowd. Love how quickly his smile turns into tears
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet you a pound to a pinch of shiiit had a minority done the same at a far right march he'd be called a hero.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And rightfully so. You got a problem with that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't have a problem with it, I have a problem with someone thinking it's fine for a counter protester to be arrested because he had a Hamas are terrorists placard, especially when the people around him are chanting Yemen Yemen do us proud.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Counter protesting follows the same rules as protesting. Did he have a permit? Had he notified the police? Did he follow the law?

These rules exist for a reason, to protect people and allow for peaceful protests. You can't just budge in on an opposition protest which is complying with the law and expect to be given a cup of tea.l while breaking the law.

He should be charged with unlawfully protesting and disturbing the peace. Follow the law.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only organisations need a permit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More generally, the police have the power to impose conditions or restrictions on a protest to prevent serious public disorder, serious damage to property, serious disruption to the life of the community or to prevent intimidation of others. This power is outlined in the Public Order Act 1986 and amounts to limiting the route/location, the duration or the amount of people participating.

Why are you geniuses attacks our beloved police force for doing their job properly. Our police face danger and protect us from mass shooters and have enough problems without you hating on them and spreading hatred of them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I said, he didn't need a permit, and he was released without charge because he hadn't broken the law.

You were wrong, only organisations need a permit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was arrested because he was shiite stirring and trying to rile people up so others, like you, can get angrier about peace marches for Gaza. Police probably arrested him for his own safety then released him without charge and told him to fook off from the vicinity.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Peace march? They were cheering on terrorists.

posted on 10/3/24

Thousands marching through London every weekend doesn't rile people up. Chanting Yemen Yemen doesn't rile people up.

One person holding a placard saying Hamas is a terrorist organisation riles people up.

That’s interesting, when your errors are pointed out, you double down. I’ll leave it to others on this thread to conclude on who is engaging in bad faith 👍

If you do want to elaborate on what you’ve said, I’m sure we’d all like to hear it.

How come the Gaza conflict has taken precedence in the UK over the war in Ukraine? I know why Mamba and Arab aren't interested and that's because Ukrainians are white.

Because it’s more recent and still “fast moving” relative to what looks to some as stalemate in Ukraine?

Why must it be and/or?

Perhaps public opinion would shift if the UK and US Governments were supportive of Russia and were continually labelling all Ukrainians as terrorists.

Same reason why the BLM protests were so popular. Such causes provide a way for knowledgable white middle class people to demonstrate how educated they are on instagram and provides better social and career opportunities.
