I think it’s more obvious that you’re being manipulated by the laughable outlet that is GB news.

The Tories could go around to Pawls house, eat all his food, fvck the sh!t out of his Mrs, wipe their d!ck on the curtains, do a load of washing, leave a log in the toilet and knock the bins over on the way out and he would still say ‘Yeah, but Labour’.

It’s like Stockholm syndrome.

Haha, very good.

I was round at my folks this morning having a catch up and I read my dear old dad this response to what I'd written. He thought it was hilarious, he's not been well lately so it was good to see him laughing.

Cheers Hoody.

I must admit the ‘did a load of washing’ bit made me laugh out loud 🤣

You say that but Chris Hope was spot on, Labour are doing exactly what he said they'd do.

Or, he’s heading off the situation early and protecting the Tories by creating a caveat. Every man and his dog can see a general election should be called in may, because 62 Tories have quit, so he’s added some spin.

Just think it through a bit more Pawl.

The Tories have until Jan 25 so as they are 25 points behind in the opinion polls why on earth would they (or anybody else) go in May?

posted on 15/3/24

Because they have had 62 MPs quit Pawl and are clearly not fit to Govern as a result.

They are increasing the hate and misery on a weekly basis.

The longer they stall, the more likely Labour will get a 2nd term in office

So Labour are right. The Tories are avoiding calling it because they're scared.

If being behind in the polls is an adequate excuse for the government not to call one, surely being ahead is an adequate excuse the opposition to call for one.

I wonder who is going to win the election in Russia today.

I’m working on the proviso that they may actually do the right thing for the people that they serve, rather than shamelessly clinging onto power after running this country into the ground over the last 12 years.

Mental I know.

Too many contracts for donors to be signed, too much lobbying by MPs quitting to ensure a place on the Board to call a May election

posted on 15/3/24

They won't call it in May because they're probably due another £10m from racist donors in June.

posted on 15/3/24

The thing is Labour are trying to create a "we assumed it would be May" narrative so they can give the impression that not calling it is cowardice.

However Labour knew damn well that the Tories never had any intentions of calling it then so it's a political stunt and a predictable one at that.

Like it or not the Tories walked the last GE and it's therefore up to them when they call the next one. Of course they will hold fire and hope the polls narrow.

Hope the polls narrow

With every week they widen, if they'd called it last year they'd have a semblance of a strong opposition, the longer they wait the bigger the labour majority

That was before Partygate, the non-existence of Levelling Up and a host of other scandals and broken promises.

Fool me once…….

Pawl

It is cowardice by Sunak. Look how many MP's are jumping ship before he's even called it. If they are hoping the gap in the polls closes between now and next Jan/Feb, the latest he can call it, then that just shows how totally devoid from reality they are. If anything the gap is likely to be even bigger going on the weekly scandals they embroil themselves in.

Bleat 'what about Labour' until the cows come home. It doesn'y absolve the Tory's from blame for their own errors, racism, division and crap culture war shiite.

I'd probably wager they had planned to do it in May as they expected to have a poll bounce from the budget, which didn't happen as us ungrateful swines were not swayed by an extra £30 a month, so now they're going back to the wait it out approach.

Does anyone actually think the polls will narrow though? They're slowly decreasing monthly with Reform eating their votes, and I wouldn't be surprised if come September they're in the teens given it's peak channel crossing season.

Exactly, they are only losing votes to Reform.

Even if they formed a coalition, they'd still not overturn Labour's majority as it stands.

It'll be interesting to see if they decide not to contest seats where it looks like they'll finish behind Reform.

I think the channel crossing was one of the reasons they will have originally planned it for May. They could then have said it had decreased under them and increased over the summer under Labour.

People like Pawl would lap that kind of stuff up.

things will only get worse for Sunak and Tories, the longer they delay the election. The general public arent buying any of their nonsence and spin. They have even done the impossible and made people actually feel sorry for Diane Abbot and now people on all sides actually want her back. Meanwhile, more and more Tory MPs are packing it in and jumping off the sinking ship whilst they still have any professional credibility left to find work in other jobs.

And who knows what scandal is coming for them next week. And the week after that....
