A bad day for @RishiSunak more than @Keir_Starmer - the re-return of @Nigel_Farage is likely to damage Conservative prospects much more than Labour's

25% of voters have a favourable view of a (still) single issue party, with no comprehensive plan to address that single issue, now led by a homophobic and racist serial loser, a spectacular do-as-I-say, not-as-I-do hypocrite who also happens to have done more damage to the interests of the British public than any other in modern history?

Fack off. What the fack?

I’m sorry, but voting for Trump makes more sense than voting for any party led by Farage.

And it's all the media's fault.

I've seen Farage on TV more in the past 2 weeks, before he was even running, than I have any member of Lib Dems and Greens.

I'd even argue I've seen him more than Starmer and Sunak.

I have asked people I know who have said they would vote Reform if they could enlighten me on how the "party" would address the cost of living crisis, the NHS issues, climate concerns etc and NOT ONE could give me details? I accept that if you have strong feelings on one issue then it could be easier to sway you whether I agree or not but this is concerning that they have managed to garner this much support without any real overall ideology

Certain Brits have very strong opinions on very little factual information.

The UK had its warmest May and spring since records dating back to 1884 began, provisional Met Office figures show.

While it was a wet and dull season for many, the Met Office said May's average mean temperature of 13.1C (55.58F) for the UK beat 2008's previous record figure of 12.1C.

We are living in a fireball and it’s only gonna get worse

The media love him because he's a click bait performer and they love/need the eyeballs for their own relevance.

Apparently Mishal Hussain completely ripped Farage apart in Radio 4 today, to the point of saying this..

600,000 migrants was his target, he recovered with:
"It's far too many, but if it's what we need & if it makes you happy, that's what we'll do"

Nigel Farage says that up to 600,000 people would be allowed into Britain every year by Reform

He told @BBCr4today that with 500,000 people leaving the UK every year there would be 'plenty of room' for overseas workers while bringing net migration down to zero

Doesn’t look like maths is his strong point either

Germany has introduced the Opportunity Card, a new visa scheme designed to attract non-EU skilled workers to help alleviate the country's labour shortage.

The Opportunity Card allows skilled workers to immigrate to Germany without a pre-arranged job and live there for up to a year while searching for employment Germany's Interior Minister, Nancy Faeser, emphasised the scheme's role in maintaining economic stability by addressing the skilled labour deficit

He’s an odious individual and it amazes me how anyone is hoodwinked by his tripe

I'm convinced some people just don't have the mental capacity to analyse.

I saw the top rated comment about his return on a DM article earlier which said something along the lines of how he's in it for the good of the country unlike so many of our current politicians who only care about themselves.

Whether or not you agree with his politics, it should be fairly obvious he's in it for himself. I mean the guy got German passports for his own children after brexit ffs

While I'm not surprised some people are that thick or deluded, the DM comment section is full of bots

It's not indicative of anything but the worst

Raising a question: when was the last time net migration was zero?
Answer: 1993, as large numbers of people left the UK in the face of a toxic cocktail of deep recession and double digit interest rates.
So that's one way of doing it...

Remarkable fact:

Average teacher pay is about the same today in real terms as it was in 2001.

Average pay across the economy is about 18% higher than in 2001.

And people wonder why there’s strikes and low retention of teachers
