And the electorate seem to agree with me, he’s got the joint worst satisfaction ratings of any leader of the opposition about to go into government. Even worse than Corbyn.

The only reason he’s getting the votes is because of how much the country has been decimated by the Tories
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think worse than Corbyn is true?

Starmer is on net -6 on YouGov.

Corbyn was on -55 at one point in 2019.

Shouldn't they be comparing Corbyn in 2019 with Starmer in 2024 though given that's when Corbyn was leader?

That wouldn't give the result they want though.

Just seen the latest polling for Northeast Somerset. Labour are predicted to win by 23%, which would see Rees-Mogg lose his seat.

In an ideal world he wouldn't speak to the Sun but unfortunately they still are the number 1 read newspaper in the UK and they are needed to help get messages across to voters.

I no longer wish to be morally superior if it means the Tories are perpetually in power.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this an admission that you previously wished to be morally superior? Being moral doesn't make you morally superior, it just makes you moral and that's the best way to be. Of course those with less morals will see you as having an air of moral superiority, but that doesn't mean it's true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps morally superior was the wrong phrase but I mean that politically I do believe you have to occasionally break your own morals out of pragmatism if you actually want to get into power.

I'd love to live in a world where that's not the case but right now that's sadly not the reality we inhabit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True.

Prefer if you didn't invoke Hillsborough in your daily moan about Starmer thanks. Realistically you couldn't give a shiite about Hillsborough and your gripe about Labour and Starmer is mostly based on their stance on Gaza and Israel.

Shut up you clown, Gaza has not been my only gripe with him if you’ve bothered to read this thread the last year but you go ahead and vote for the bloke who was happy enough to turn off the supplies against innocent human beings and come on this thread criticising Israel. Your precious Keith is a bigger Zionist than Sunak.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Couldn't give a shiite about your incessant moaning or posting endless shiite polls on here. You've obviously got fook all better to do with your life. Someone who advocates dipping people in acid has no place using Hillsborough on a politics thread.

We don't need help from knobheads like you thanks.

I’ve literally criticised the bloke on here over the treatment of the left wing candidates here like Faisal Shaeen, his parachuting of NEC mates into safe seats, the shambolic treatment of Diane Abbott and in the end getting owned by her, watering down every single pledge such as the £28bn Green Deal. What more do you want? He’s a Red Tory and a genocide enabler on top.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know you have. Was just highlighting how stupid your post was.

Let's not forget United fans have to be implored not to chant about Hillsborough before games vs Liverpool.

And your lot are somehow morally superior by not chanting about the Munich air disaster over the last 50 years eh? I’ve never stooped that low to chant about dead people, or to score points about it either like you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who said anyone is morally superior?

Who's used Munich to have a pop at a political party?

What a cvnt

Saw something earlier where someone said they can't vote for Labour as their 'hairbrained schemes' would bankrupt the country. So they are voting Reform.

This is what we are up against in this country.

posted on 4/7/24

I've had a family member retweet Farage saying "Reform will cancel Britain's membership of the WEF", when we're literally already not a member, and that just sums a lot of these people up.

Angry at something they've been told to be angry about despite having absolutely no idea what it even is.

Just dropped my vote, there were 4 18-19 year old lassies in front of me and they were SO excited voting for the first time, gladdened my hardened heart so it did.
From what I earwigging into, 4 votes the Tories are definitely not getting...

reports it's all kicking off at Tory HQ as they are in meltdown. Cabinet ministers are trying to blame each other and potential rivals for whatever is left. Senior staff gone to ground and Sunak refusing to answer calls too. Tories on the ground reporting v dire feedback

I voted about 7.15 this morning so I was reasonably sober.

No norks to distract the committed voter either at that time.
