Voted this morning.

I’ve not sat up all night to watch the results come in since 1997 when I was at uni. I might do again tonight if it looks like some of the big Tory names will lose seats.

Can't vote tonight so already voted at 7am when the polls opened and the first time in my life my vote might actually matter in my constituency.

I'm not used to this feeling
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Me neither. I've lived in Tory strongholds for a long time but there is a chance the Lib Dems could win in my constituency.

I'm now in the Tiverton and Minehead constituency due to boundary changes and the Tory MP was the Bridgwater and Somerset West MP. He was on my street canvassing the other day and although I politely told him I wasn't interested, he seemed friendly enough.

I've since looked him up and I genuinely couldn't be more opposed to him if I tried. Private Eye called him 'Somerset's answer to Donald Trump'.

The Sun Newspaper (albeit begrudgingly, but still, after all the anti-Labour bile they have published this election) comes out today in favour of a new dawn, Labour government.

Change is quite clearly coming today. And the Sun will claim, as they always do, that they won it for Labour.

Tories are all mental.

Keith went on stage to say he was proud to get endorsed by them as well, imagine a Labour leader saying that after their Hillsborough crap.

Prefer if you didn't invoke Hillsborough in your daily moan about Starmer thanks. Realistically you couldn't give a shiite about Hillsborough and your gripe about Labour and Starmer is mostly based on their stance on Gaza and Israel.

Let's not forget United fans have to be implored not to chant about Hillsborough before games vs Liverpool.

In an ideal world he wouldn't speak to the Sun but unfortunately they still are the number 1 read newspaper in the UK and they are needed to help get messages across to voters.

I no longer wish to be morally superior if it means the Tories are perpetually in power.

Is this an admission that you previously wished to be morally superior? Being moral doesn't make you morally superior, it just makes you moral and that's the best way to be. Of course those with less morals will see you as having an air of moral superiority, but that doesn't mean it's true.

Fascinating as to whether this is real or not. There's a good chance this is a deepfake clip, but it certainly sounds convincing.

Okay, looking through his older tweets, it is more than certain that this is a deepfake lol.

Shut up you clown, Gaza has not been my only gripe with him if you’ve bothered to read this thread the last year but you go ahead and vote for the bloke who was happy enough to turn off the supplies against innocent human beings and come on this thread criticising Israel. Your precious Keith is a bigger Zionist than Sunak.

And your lot are somehow morally superior by not chanting about the Munich air disaster over the last 50 years eh? I’ve never stooped that low to chant about dead people, or to score points about it either like you.

Perhaps morally superior was the wrong phrase but I mean that politically I do believe you have to occasionally break your own morals out of pragmatism if you actually want to get into power.

I'd love to live in a world where that's not the case but right now that's sadly not the reality we inhabit.

Says it’s not his only gripe with Starmer then goes on to only talk about Israel Gaza and calls someone else a clown

I’ve literally criticised the bloke on here over the treatment of the left wing candidates here like Faisal Shaeen, his parachuting of NEC mates into safe seats, the shambolic treatment of Diane Abbott and in the end getting owned by her, watering down every single pledge such as the £28bn Green Deal. What more do you want? He’s a Red Tory and a genocide enabler on top.

And the electorate seem to agree with me, he’s got the joint worst satisfaction ratings of any leader of the opposition about to go into government. Even worse than Corbyn.

The only reason he’s getting the votes is because of how much the country has been decimated by the Tories

Don't think worse than Corbyn is true?

Starmer is on net -6 on YouGov.

Corbyn was on -55 at one point in 2019.
