Polls were always going to tighten ever so slightly closer to the election as shy Tory voters and the likes will always go back to them.

Likewise I expect some prospective Green voters to vote Labour when it comes to it tomorrow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Relying on the polls and the certainty Labour will win worries me. The electorate defied the polls and.voted against its interests in 2016. Plus with Tory candidates avoiding the Tory brand when campaigning how many Tory voters are going to admit to voting for them in a poll or vox pop?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I think Labour will win regardless but all this talk of not needing to vote for them, and your traditional shy Tories, and I do think either their majority will be small or anyone hoping to see the Tories wiped out will be disappointed.

Badenoch is standing as the candidate in North West Essex, where more than 2,600 postal ballots were not sent out in time because of a “human error”. The head of the local council said he is “mortified” by the mistake and will consider his position.

If Badenoch wins the seat by a small margin, Labour could be entitled to challenge the result and demand a fresh contest.

In that case, under the rules, a by-election would be ordered. Until it had concluded, Badenoch would not be considered an MP and would be ineligible to stand for the Tory leadership. There is concern among Tories that in such a scenario opposition parties would pile all their national resources into the seat in an attempt to oust her…

I read a ‘Verify’ article about Sunak’s tax scaremongering.

People hust on basic State Pension may be liable to pay £1.60 PER YEAR after 2027 whilst the £2k tax hike he keeps banging on about is over a 5 year parliament which equates to about £1 a day.

A small price to pay if it means better services and an improved NHS.

President Joe Biden has blamed his poor debate performance last week on jet lag, telling reporters that he "wasn't very smart" for "travelling around the world a couple of times" before the debate.
"I didn’t listen to my staff... and then I nearly fell asleep on stage,” he said.
Mr Biden, 81, last returned from travel on 15 June, nearly two weeks ahead of the 27 June debate.

We asked Labour voters to tell us in their own words the main reason they are backing the party. For the largest number by far the key motivation is ousting the Conservatives

Top 5 reasons
Get the Tories out: 48%
Country needs a change: 13%
Agree with their policies: 5%
To improve NHS: 4%
Best-liked party with a change of winning: 4%

The lack of enthusiasm for Labour at this election really is striking.

Among those who plan to vote Labour tomorrow, the party is much less well-liked than in 2019, 2017 or 2015 (no data before that).

Quite a flimsy voter coalition that could unravel in the absence of results.
