To Jess Phillips yes
Jeremy Hunt, "Some Conservatives will wonder whether the scale of our crushing defeat is really justified, but when you lose the trust of the electorate, all that matters is to have the courage and humility to ask yourself why"
"Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves are decent people.. I hope they use their majority to make much needed reforms to the NHS in the way that is difficult for the Conservative governments to do"

Interesting admittance from Hunt there
Wonder who’ll be next Tory leader
Really ugly scenes during @jessphillips‘ acceptance speech. Absolutely appalling; men shouting down a woman when she’s legitimately won an election is disgraceful and a bad look for our democracy.

That's literally what she did....
The cabinet is expected to look almost identical to the shadow cabinet. But there's a notable vacancy at culture, media and sport because Thangam Debonnaire, who had been shadowing that position, lost her seat to the Greens.
The two names I'm hearing most for that post are Chris Bryant, a former minister who had been part of Debonnaire’s shadow team; and Ellie Reeves, who had been Labour’s deputy campaign coordinator.
She is the sister of Rachel Reeves, who later today will be appointed chancellor.

The likes of Transparency International, Freedom House, Pew Research Centre and SGI do and will continue to criticise the British system.
SGI doesn’t rank the UK as High Quality Democracy now, and its lowest score across the board is in electoral processes, where it ranks below almost every single country in Europe, barring the likes of Hungary.
These things matter, not only within the borders of the UK.
