Yep, 60% of adults vaccinated, 93.5% current uptake on over 50’s, who account for 99% of deaths and 90% of over 80’s now fully vaccinated who account for 83% of all deaths
Yet we’re still in lockdown 49 weeks after it was meant to end even without a vaccine
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What percentage has been fully vaccinated with both doses.
I think most of your comment moment is in reference to the first jab and there's cases popping up of people catching covid after only the first jab.
Vaccination is two jabs. Anyone with one jab has not been vaccinated, no?

Further cases of a rare blood clotting syndrome including seven deaths have been reported among recipients of the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab in the UK, although experts say the numbers remain low and the benefits of the vaccine far outweigh any risks.
-----
This is gonna damage vaccine confidence worldwide.
AZ bungled up testing so that USA and EU delayed their approvals, then bungled up vaccine supply putting the EU in dire straights, and now this.
And their jab is also less effective than others according to reports.
A publicly traded USA conglomerate taking over these practises is not going to work out well for anyone except their shareholders.

It is the context of this that is important. What would be the expected amount of blood clotting in the population vaccinated (higher risk groups so I would have thought blood clotting not uncommon). As I think it was renoog said, correlation v causation.

Yep they said yesterday if 2.5 million 60 year olds got the virus then 25,000-50,000 would die (1% to 2% fatality rate) without the vaccine whereas only 4 would get blood clot
But obviously as you go down the age groups it starts getting closer. E.g under 20’s they’d be 4 blood clots but only 100 covid deaths

The only slight caution I have is these adverse events / blood clots are only the very serious ones that get picked up / reported .I imagine it’s a lot higher than reported. Pro’s of vaccine still vastly outweigh the cons BUT when you get to under 30’s age range it does start to get closer and more information / analysis is needed especially now younger people are starting to get the vaccine we should get more data as apparently the main numbers of blood clots are in younger age groups and younger women especially (could be combination of birth control pills & vaccine doesn’t go well as vaccine causes let’s say a tiny blood clot but birth control pills equally cause let’s say a tiny blood clot so 2 of them together could mean a big one)

These are good points but that's not really how worldwide confidence in the vaccine works IMO.
Vaccine confidence isn't entirely based on logic or lot cal observations like you guys are making here. It's a bit of a game. And it also gives anti vaxxers a lot of ammo.
