0.00016% rate

posted on 3/4/21

Yep but that rate is mainly from older groups not from young groups, and it seems like the majority of the early evidence has been in younger groups, so as I said would prefer some more hard core data from younger groups first especially when under 18’s are at at no real risk whatsoever

Plus we haven’t even had more than a 2 month trial on under 18’s

Pretty sure out of 35 million doses we’ve given only 10% have been to people under 40. So would prefer some more data from the remaining 90% of 20-40 before we start giving the vaccine to kids.

As I said I’m sure it’s fine but irrespective I don’t think we should Willy Nilly be jabbing up under 18’s YET until we get the data. Chris Whitty basically said the same thing, we need the data to assess whether the pro’s outweigh the cons of vaccinating kids

Have they said why it would occur more often in younger groups than older? Would have thought it would be the same or less.

So, reports of tow year backlogs for key medical treatments at NHS, all because we stopped the world spinning to prevent a tiny percentage of people dying from Covid. I look forward to the Iraqification of the debate when everyone pretends they were opposed to lockdowns all along.

Have you seen anything to suggest that there is expected to be excess of c120k deaths in the UK as a result of the delays?

Nope, but I agree my hypothesis is that it could be down to mixture of vaccine & birth control pills (which also causes blood clots) and that’s why women are affected more

What Whitty was trying to allude to is there’s been 24 deaths in under 18’s since the pandemic began from 2.4 million officially confirmed cases (realistically likely double or triple that as we wasn’t originally mass testing or testing any kids)

So let’s for argument sake say 24 deaths out of 5 million and let’s x 10 for hospital admissions on the deaths so 240.

So can we avoid a similar number of deaths or serious reactions from the jabs than the virus would generate. We’ve had 25 reports from 30 million jabs? But Germany have had 31 incidents and 9 deaths from 2.7 million, so are we under reporting?

That’s why whitty says at the moment we need a lot more data before we even consider it an option for under 18’s. Which is fair enough and we do need to err on the side of caution in vaccinating under 18’s until we get more data in my opinion.

And again there’s not huge deaths differences from 19-30 only about another hundred / two hundred. So again do the pro’s of the vaccine risk outweigh the con’s of getting the virus.

So I don’t think what Whitty says / suggests is completely bonkers tbh

Whereas the risk of a blood clot in over 30’s is absolutely miniscule in comparison to the risk of a blood clot / serious reaction / death from a vaccine

But we need to calculate if it is the same for under 30’s. It’s one of the main reasons we don’t on the NHS offer the flu vaccine to young people because they’ve got more risk of the vaccine doing more harm than the flu

I’m just concerned about keeping the virus going.

Well it’s going to come back every winter regardless that’s the reality, not one scientist disagrees it’s not going to be with us forever or that eradication is possible so we have to start balancing things soon

Considering Covid figures are bunk I dont think the comparison is legitimate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t mention covid. I deliberately mentioned excess deaths.

I think as it stands anyone over 18 has far more benefit from the vaccine and should get it if possible, and any under 18’s with underlying health conditions.

However I just think for under 18’s with no underlying health conditions we are potentially in the territory where the risk is more than the reward (as it stands with current information/data)

This is the direction in which progressives are taking us and in which we are allowing ourselves to be taken. What an absolute disgrace

This should definitely be at the top of our priorities.

Thousands of lives are probably at stake.

Yeah they said sorry and gave them an hour extra for lunch.
I’m personally not impressed at all that they saw that it was wrong, should never have been done in the first place.
This group sheet really has to stop, like now.

It’s good they’ve recognised the error though surely? As opposed to doubling down?

Yes but my disgust at their initial action overrides any appreciation for that. If I even take it at face value and not simply bowing to pressure. The parental reaction is what I’m happy to see. I see no reason why the school has magically decided what they did was wrong.
