The 2nd dose ramp up should be pretty impressive this month

I am off to a friend’s house next week, both of us unvaccinated but with my parents vaccinated already I see it as my judgement call.

Good for you. At this stage we need to see less and less obedience tbh, societal behaviour will dictate how the politicians act.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed.

3 weeks to protect the NHS from being overwhelmed to 55 later we are still here, who even knows why

Then they said the vaccine is the key to freedom, but then said yesterday even if you’ve been fully vaccinated you still can’t meet someone indoors (that got huge backlash)

December it was “no chance of domestic vaccine passports only international” according to Gove and Boris, April it’s “well they have benefits and will help U.K. Businesses” see the backlash “well they’re only for a year”

Honestly apart from the successful vaccine drive (thank you NHS) this whole thing has been handled awfully. All we’ve got is 150k deaths and a whole lot of the Tories friends being a darn sight richer

My dads turned into a bit of a bed wetter though, even after he would of had both he still didn’t want to come horse racing in June. One of the victims of this mass scaremongering the government have disgustingly done tbh.

Would be nice from the government if they re allocated the resources to telling people just how damn beneficial the vaccine is and how effective it is from preventing you dying or being hospitalised with COVID. As people still dumbly think it’s only 90% not 100% (a lot of people are wrongly looking at the prevention of getting the virus in the first place as their protection %)

Yeah I prefer a single jab too.

I am annoyed because in January Hancock said that when the over 50s were vaccinated he would 'cry freedom'. Well they are just finishing up the over 50s as we speak and yet we have nearly three more months of restrictions and probably years of mask wearing ahead.d
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeh it seems like they went from stop NHS being overwhelmed (which it never was) to eradicating the damn thing but then the scientists say it can’t be eradicated yet they seemingly ignore that and act like it can

I think the reality is there is now a far lot of more pressing issues to deal with than COVID, COVID has now been relegated thanks to the vaccine, so we need to concentrate on bigger issues not still making everything Covid Covid Covid and all the vaccine passports crap which just drags it on even longer

10 deaths, and no 100+ death day in England for over 2 weeks. Time to move on now

Israel has had a few 0 death days recently

There numbers look like a really good sign for the future once vaccinations are over 50 %

I went for a walk down a country lane in the sunshine today. A couple walked past me in masks and literally swerved into a hedgerow to show how they were socially distancing. The whole thing is like a dystopian comedy sketch now.
