The bill stopping protests and the vaccine passports stuff has genuinely made me wonder if I want to live in the UK anymore. It seems like our freedom and democracy is slowly being eroded away, whilst some people celebrate the decisions contributing to it.

They are even 'piloting' the vaccine passport before I will have been offered it. Its basically segregation based on health status and age.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, it’s just gotten out of hand now as the virus is pretty much over now at least until winter, but now we’re going through all of this crap. The grandparents can scan their grandkids vaccine passports said it all

Plus the people that threw parties and broke the rules and ended up catching the virus as a result of their actions are now being rewarded as well by being eligible to attend these pilot events as they’ve had a positive test in the past

Hurricanes my main worry.

I stuck to Britain as I valued its history culture and freedoms. Yet freedom is now dependent on ICU capacity, its culture is discarded and its history rewritten. So, in such a world I just want to go on income and opportunity instead. UK ain't the place.

Kerfuffle outside a Bristol cop shop, days and days of condemnation, comment and opinion. Riot in Belfast, 8 cops injured, meh!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oooft what’s this? Bit early for any “marching” activity is it not?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spoke to guy who lives near Sandy Row and it was all over facebook to come out there against the ra Storey funeral covid non breach result and the protocol irish sea border.

And last night it was a few miles from me in Newtownabbey rioting and hijacking, and last week loyalist Waterside area was rioting 5 nights!

The UFF are strong in Sandy Row, Cloughfern South east Antrim and Derry Waterside Tulyally and Nelson Drove...so they will send youths out to block roads, police react and then it kicls off...an old familar riot tactic!

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ a pleasant Easter weekend to all πŸ‘

Recently found out that my mum (usually a 3-4 times a week Mass go-er) refuses to go to the good Friday service or the Easter vigil. Apparently the priest takes it WAY too seriously. She’s religious, but in a 12pm Mass and you’re up the road for a 12:30pm kickoff kind of way πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜•are they concerned about the upcoming marching season? Presumably a lot of pent up energy from all sides with the pandemic and not being able to properly protest wrt Brexit?

Yeah it bollox. I've worked throughout this pandemic, abided by the rules and have only seen my family once in a year. Now I am being told that I can't do things when they open up, due to my age and taking those precautions.

Also, I recently had to travel to Czech Republic for work and the PCR test to travel cost £150. Imagine having to fork that out everytime you want to go to the football as you haven't been offered both vaccines.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it’s honestly shocking man. A lot of people are now waking up to the BS myself included but sadly think it’s too late

Seems like anyone under 30-40 was better off just going around throwing parties and licking lampposts to get the virus

It is sad, to want to leave your country because of its decline, but I won't hold my breath for any honesty.

No marching mate, like last year, green n orange not doing Easter or July AugustπŸ‘

Last night was UFF masked men about a mile from mums house hijacking cars at Cloughfern, so it is paramilitary organised, and they push 13-14 year olds to start it to blood potential young turks!

Many ordeinary folk, including remain and midde class people are fed up with SF at funerals, border poll and border rows and exytemists will thrpw petrol on it.

Dup and UUP have confemned violence and they face wrath from nutters now, as do cops etc.h

At same time, Dup and UUP express frustration with tories, EU, and SF and sea borders πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Just doesn't make sense to be honest. Technically, when you leave you take away "Britishness" and allow space for others to come in which works against some people's stated interests. Also, you go to do to others and their culture the same thing you complain is happening here, no?

Not that I'm against anyone moving to a place they feel is better for them though, I actually encourage it and it's good for the world going forward IMO.

Any good news?

Only ten dead from Covid yesterday in uk, millions vaccinated, furlough pay and ESA help for shielding folk, grants for self employed businesses, sun out and Easter holsπŸ™πŸ‘πŸ˜€πŸ˜Ž

posted on 4/4/21

Didn’t take long for people on Twitter to come up with the first fraudulent way of getting round the vaccine passport, (find someone who recently tested positive for covid then get them to do your home testing kit swabs so it comes up positive and you can then upload the results to show you’ve tested positive within the last 6 month)

————

Only issue they’ve got is prevalence is so low now nobody’s really catching it now

You can’t compare them to the previous day, need to compare to the same day of the previous week. So Eg yesterday was 3,423, the week before was 4,715. So about a 30% drop, which when you get to figures this low is insane

posted on 4/4/21

Friday was even better, 3,402 cases and previous Friday was 6,187 nearly a 50% drop
