The World Health Organization on Tuesday said it did not currently support requiring vaccination passports for travel, because of uncertainty over whether inoculation prevents transmission, and discrimination concerns.

WHO have also advised against it
Not sure how the US situation affects New York as I thought that mug crazy cuomo was trying to bring them in

The EU’s green pass, which will allow citizens of EU and EEA member states to travel freely around the EU/EEA area, has been approved by EU Parl for fast tracking.
The aim is to have it in place and functional by mid-June to allow for a summer tourism season across the bloc.
Denmark have already rolled out their own internal digital and paper certificate allowing the vaccinated and those who have had a negative test in the last 72 hours to access retail, services and arts and entertainment establishments.

I don't know if Denmark uses ID card normally but it must be so much easier if countries do, Israel is already flying ahead with its 'passporting' as it already has the data on its citizens, citizens who don't have the civil liberties cohort the same way we so.

‘civil liberties cohort’
You also don’t seem to follow Israel that closely. The Green Pass os highly contentious over there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have a 'passport' though right? Its been issued and is being used by everyone right?
Israel don't have the same issues with civil liberties that we do, for obvious reasons.

You took bizarre umbrage at the meaning of cohort and at no stage did I imply it was a beloved scheme, its all in your head.

Yeah okay, you misunderstood the original point about countries that already have ID cards and went off on one.

Amazon founder and CEO shares a statement in support of investment in American infrastructure.
"We support the Biden Administration’s focus on making bold investments in American infrastructure. Both Democrats and Republicans have supported infrastructure in the past, and it’s the right time to work together to make this happen. We recognize this investment will require concessions from all sides—both on the specifics of what’s included as well as how it gets paid for (we’re supportive of a rise in the corporate tax rate). We look forward to Congress and the Administration coming together to find the right, balanced solution that maintains or enhances U.S. competitiveness."

Should recreational cannabis use be legal in the UK?
43% support
29% oppose
24% neither support nor oppose
Support is highest among those aged 18 to 34 (50% support) and those who voted for Labour in 2019 (50% support).
If we're looking for ways to raise tax to help pay off the national debt, it's a no brainer.
It is to be applauded we have checks in place to stop something like a vaccine passport coming in with no resistance
Robust opposition in parliament by the looks of things - thank you Labour finally. Might still get through, who knows what will happen

I highly doubt it, there’s about 80 Tory’s that could vote against it apparently.

Only if the costs involving productivity, mental health and anti-social behaviour do not outweigh the taxes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Those issues are already part of our society with the business unregulated and untaxed.

I wouldn’t want more people smoking weed regardless of tax revenues. If numbers are roughly the same as now then absolutely we might as well legalise and tax it.

I would have thought our civil liberties cohort would be against legislation that outlawed a plant.
