$30K
I have balls of blancmange not balls of steel!
Same here, caution is the name of the game when shorting... Most i've done was 0.2btc ($2k ish) into iota when the microsoft news broke.... That was a big bet for me, but paid handsomely.
My big ball mate dropped 2btc and did VERY well!
How do you guys manage to get your cash back?
As far as I can tell, you only seem to be able to trade one crypto-currency for another.
I moved approx half of my ETH into DASH in July and now after seeing it rise to 3x the original investment I would like to get my cash out but haven't seen one exchange where I can trade for real $$.

can you not set up a coinbase account and move it into that wallet or something? the other guys know more than me
You can convert to BTC and use something like coinbase or bitbargain.co.uk
Another option is a BTC direct debit card... I got one from here:

I trade on here:
https://www.etoro.com/
If I want to withdraw funds I just click on 'withdraw funds', tell it how much, submit and it deposits it back into the same bank account I transfer funds from.
Yes, I can't see a way of transferring from etoro to a UK bank account.
Coinbase has been easy for me
You have to get verified first. I uploaded my driving license
Then you have to send a international payment (I sent £1} to coinbase. They give this back to you. That's how they verify your account ready for withdrawals. Then when you want to withdraw, sell your bitcoin, it. Transfers gpb to Your gpb wallet then from your gpb wallet you transfer to your bank account
That takes 2 to 3 days
Fees every step of the way

Why are you guys trying to short btc!
Just hold and wait, the chances of the "bubble" bursting at $15k seem slim to me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Short's are where the smart folk will get incredibly rich. It's a matter of when not if. But as things stand there are no regulated derivatives markets. Ive got an AGM in January where depending on feelings I may try and pool a few multi millionaires together in a collective short on CME options.
Admin2 and I spoke about making a business decision to short.

Scroll down the left hand side, and two icons above 'log out' is 'withdraw funds'.
I haven't transferred any money back yet myself but that should transfer back to the bank account that you have registered and that you deposit funds into etoro with!

We wouldn't go more than 5-10k probably. That's a lot of money however I look at it.
That's about 4.5k more than me Admin

I'm used to the old days of share trading where broker commission and stamp duty meant anything under £1000 was difficult to invest.
In fact my Litecoin is doing well for me at the moment. I was about $30 in the red with it this morning but it's $85 in the green ATM on a $300 trade!

It's so volatile the mind boggles
Yeah litecoin is up and so is ethereum.
My 2 Litecoins have doubled in the last month.
I was just about to convert them to IOTA but I might as well hang fire.
