It's looking like a big correction with bitcoin and alot of alts.... could see 20% losses across the board... happens every now and again.

My investment went down by approx 10% in the last 12 hours or so.

It seems everything took a bit of a hit.

it is bizarre isn't it. It surges to new heights then goes back down to basically its comfort zone again. Need to wait for the comfort zone to be that higher end.

It was a fork from the main bitcoin, but it is run by just a few very rich individuals (roger ver and the people behind Bitmain mining)... Nothing wrong with that, as such, but it is far from decentralised...

Worse still, they use their huge wealth to skew the market, dumping bitcoin and pumping Bcash... Lots of people get burnt just to make them a little bit richer.

Even worse still, they use the bitcoin name to create confusion. For instance, Roger Ver owns bitcoin.com which is a bitcoin and bitcoin cash wallet, bit it heavily promotes bitcoin cash... Many people have sent bitcoin to this bitcoin cash wallet and lost their coins. He repeatedly uses these sort of techniques and is clearly paying other companies to further add to this confusion.

The coin itself is ok, very similar to litecoin, fast and low fees.... But that is mainly because they don;t have huge transaction amounts, bitcoin's big problem and a problem that would affect most coins. The politics made me sell all mine and buy monero. If i lose cash, i couldn;t care less... I wont support these guys.

This is just my own take on it, of course, but it seems to ring true with alot of people in crypto. I hate these techniques, confusion and politics, but I guess $billions attract a particular type of person.

btw, the last time this happened... Bitcoin went on a bull run to a new all time high. Hold tight.

It's already starting to normalise again, i can see a bitcoin run to $20k after this... but keep an eye out around 9AM PST when Bitcoin cash goes live again.... hard to call it, alot of people have bitcoin cash stored there since the fork (august 1st)... Will they sell and dump the price, or hold and see lots of new people buy (mainly due to confusion).

yea.... I got a bit lucky in that it launched on bitfinex just after I started playing with other cryptos, had a quick look at the tech, liked it and bought at that low price.
