Holgate's actions were one of the worst I have seen in 35 years of watching football. He pushed Firmino in the knowledge that injury could occur (they were both already off the pitch). Holgate should be banned for some time, if not months a la Cantona.

The ref can't have heard anything as the FA said he was "made aware" of an allegation.

There’s been very little coverage of this in the press, and there must be a reason for this. If they thought there was something in it, they’d be all over it like a rash. This would be a goldmine story for them.

Yes. An investigation is underway so they have to apply the rules. There are rules against abusing an opponent.

Be it Rhian Brewster or any other player. The situation should be treated seriously and professionally irrespective of whether a player might have misheard. It's one of the things that separates the EPL as being a level above many other countries.
I think in this day and age it takes a lot for someone to accuse another pro of racism. I don't think anyone goes into that decision lightly. No smoke without fire as they say or a terrible incident of miss-hearing something. Suppose we will found out soon.
