Anthony Joshua will be receiving a contract for the Tyson Fury fight on Dec 3rd "very soon", Frank Warren has stated.

Frank was claiming the deadline was last week

"Accepted all terms"

Probably the most overrused term in boxing

I still remain sceptical about this fight and until I see anything relating to actual signed contracts and official announcements, it's just fantasy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't go soft on me Guv, we've both firmly been in the this definitely isn't happening camp.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am currently 90% it won't happen and 10% it will.

As far as the AJ trainer situation, I think he should get rid of Angel Fernandez immediately. Once he's done that, he should find a trainer in the UK and the possible options would be:

Adam Booth
Rob Mcracken
Shane Mcguigan
Ben Davis
Peter Fury

Only decent option is Shane.

Booth is still living off Haye
Mcracken got exposed

Other 2 are none starters.

Looks like the Jr vs Benn fight is back on

I can understand people being sceptical about the AJ vs Fury fight happening but I am surprised that some portions of the boxing fanbase are suggesting it's a bad move for AJ.

It's a literal win win fight for AJ. He has no belts, his stock has been dented and he will be the underdog in this fight. If he loses, people will just say that he was expected to lose and if he wins, he might become even bigger than he was prior to the Usyk loss.

I don't really get it either. People keep saying he'd be stupid to take it but he has so much to gain and little to lose. His legacy is already damaged from the Usyk defeats and it's just going to still be damaged if he loses to Fury, which most expect anyway. Doesn't mean he wouldn't be able to get some big fights anymore like against Wilder, Dubois etc..

I think it's a good time to fight Fury as well. Get him when he hasn't fought for a while when he may be ring rusty. The Whyte fight will have been 8 months ago in December.

AJ probably sits 3rd as British HW champions regardless which is a very good career to go with his suspect gold medal:

1) Canadian
2) Fury
3) AJ

Its not hard to sit 3rd though because below him he gets Bruno, Haye etc.

Fury will retire at number 1 if he becomes undisputed heavyweight champion

Glad AJ accepted. Say what you want about him but he always takes the big fights.

Wonder who his trainer will be this time. Might be worth going back to Rob.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The only ones are Dillian Whyte and Klitschko and even those he timed it in his favour, Whyte before he was properly coached and Klitschko when he was in his 40's and inactive. Usyk was a mandatory, Parker maybe but don't rate him personally.

it's a fast turnaround and he doesn't seem to be in a good place, he'd be better off rebuilding with a couple of fights first imo but the Fury fight may not be there again so respect to AJ if it actually happens.

From Fury's POV even with 60/40 he'll be making more money than an 80/20 split with any other figher, and for me the AJ fight will be very easy for him but one he'll still get a lot of credit for if he wins.

It's a win win for AJ. He'll get a ridiculously huge pay day even at 40% and even if he loses then he's lost to the best Heavyweight in the world.

I also firmly believe that AJ has a much better chance of beating Fury than people realise. Fury seems a little bit complacent right now and if AJ goes in there with the mentality that he's going to KO Fury then there's every chance he will.

Unlike Usyk Fury can be hit often as Wilder proved. AJ has a much better chance against Fury than against Usyk. Usyk is the worst fighter he could face stylistically. Against Fury he has a much better chance.

Still at 157 but I suspect there may be some changes to the rehydration limit

It's a normal turnaround for an active fighter. It's 3+ months between the Usyk fight and the Fury fight date and AJ didn't take much damage against Usyk.

Rebuilding is the safer route but this a golden opportunity that can't be turned down.

If this fight actually happens. Massive IF of course. Then I'm actually going to back AJ to win. Fury is all over the shop at the moment as well. Can see AJ chinning him. Probably be the best thing for the division as well as it would really shake things up.

1) the fight is happening, trust me

2) Fury will win. Probably get knocked down at some point but he’ll stop AJ

If AJ went in with a savage mentality but we say that before every fight, I don't think we'll ever see that AJ again.
