The feints didn't remotely bother Ngannou I noticed. Normally those jerky feints from Fury disrupt the rhythm of his opponents but presumably Ngannou has seen all that before. And Fury stopped doing them in the latter half of the fight as I recall.
Fury also likes to lean on people and hold, and considering MMA fighters are much better at grappling and tussling than boxers that was never going to work.

Fury's whole clinching game was nullified by Ngannou's grappling experience and just sheer power.
I was certain that Ngannou would fatigue but in a fight where neither man landed more than 10 punches in a round, he could have easily gone 12.
Yup, Ngannou turned out to be all wrong for Fury. Presumably Fury thought this would be a straightforward Chisora/Whyte type of easy night's work. Just with an even bigger payday. He got the bigger payday part right at least.
Unless Fury retires I think there will be a lot of pressure for him to rematch this at some point down the line, although obviously not too far given both their ages.
Personally I'd like to see Ngannou against Wilder next while Fury deals with undisputed. Would be so easy to sell that fight now given both are regarded as such monster punchers. You'd have to assume someone is getting put to sleep in that fight. 😴

Would like to see this as well
Fury's biggest problem yesterday was it was really a lose/lose for him other than the pay day. Fightwise he had nothing to gain and everything to lose cos the one difference with big hitting heavyweights is it only takes 1 punch to end the fight and he doesn't seem like he really wants to fight more if I am tbh. Wilder 2 Fury cleans up everyone in the division with ease, this version I don't think really cares and will be continually "retiring".
Wilder vs Ngannou would do big PPV's in my opinion and the Saudi's would be interested.

The propaganda from promoters bores me.
Fury being crap yesterday doesn't mean gun shy AJ is suddenly better than him and Eddie Hearn should be getting him some proper fights rather than sticking the boot in
Same point in time Warren pretending Nganous performance vindicates the bout is also ridiculous. Fury was a fat mess and the fight was a payday and little more
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't really blame Hearn. The amount of times Warren and Fury bring up AJ in interviews it's quite funny, and Hearn has always backed AJ to beat Fury to be fair to him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hearn's stock is pretty low these days, compared to what it was anyway. While Warren is putting on shows like these and hopefully undisputed soon Eddie is plodding along with his smaller Dazn fights and hoping a spent AJ and Conor Benn can change his fortunes. He needs all the publicity he can get lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are still big fights out there for AJ. The way Ngannou performed, that is now another possible one that would bring in a decent audience. Last night's event may have done Hearn a favour.
Aside from the fights, what did people make of the whole event in general? Do you think the middle east is the next vegas, when it comes to big time boxing and combat sports?

I personally hate these massively bloated shows. Like I think it took about 2 hours between the Co and main event. I much prefer the MMA cards. Fight 10mins break fight
Also 0 atmosphere, not a fan but they have the money to do them, so I am sure we will see the lots, and I am guessing Europeans love the timing too
I felt like the atmosphere was lacking.
Yeh atmosphere lacking
The gala dinners with all alive heavyweight champions was cool though and loads of other celebs
Helps when you’ve got unlimited money I guess

Dropped all that bravado and we saw a glimpse of the real Fury.
If that's what Ngannou did to Fury with pillows on his fists can you imagine what would have happened if they'd met in a cage with 4oz gloves. Wouldn't have lasted a minute lol.
Most top MMA fighters could finish top boxers fairly quickly.
Canelo wouldn't last a minute against Leon Edwards.
Anyone else concerned that we don't see Fury box again ? He's made a bucket load of money at this point and if he returns then he has to fight either Usyk or Ngannou again. Probably both. Both of which he'd probably rather avoid given his preference for easy fights that pay the most in the last couple of years.
I can see him retiring from boxing, swerving Usyk again and just going for some easy big money in WWE or something to finish his money making career. I still don't think he has any intention whatsoever of getting in the ring with Usyk and will blame his retirement on his mental health or something.
