Ngannou is an annoying problem now cos even Hearn is talking about AJ fighting him when AJ should be taking on Wilder. It's just another nail in the dead sport of boxing.
Ngannou should go back to UFC and fight Jones. That would be the biggest UFC fight of all time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he cant go back to UFC he is under contract with PFL.

Anyone else concerned that we don't see Fury box again ? He's made a bucket load of money at this point and if he returns then he has to fight either Usyk or Ngannou again. Probably both. Both of which he'd probably rather avoid given his preference for easy fights that pay the most in the last couple of years.
I can see him retiring from boxing, swerving Usyk again and just going for some easy big money in WWE or something to finish his money making career. I still don't think he has any intention whatsoever of getting in the ring with Usyk and will blame his retirement on his mental health or something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He will fight Usyk because the Saudi's have put too much cash on the table for him to refuse. The contract has a rematch clause for either party, so we could see that fight twice. I remain sceptical about the rematch but I think Fury will fight Usyk at least once.
I wouldn't rule out Fury dropping the titles and not fighting Usyk. Him and his team are deceivers, they will say one thing and do the opposite.
Fury said in an interview with IFLTV that he didn't have ant cuts and he was fine.
Team Fury come out today and say they have to put the Usyk fight to February, due to multiple cuts suffered by Fury.

As has been said Dana wont budge especially to another MMA firm.
but the money isnt right either ... no way Dana sets a precedent by paying Franics boxing money.
I would expect Francis to double his purse of £10m id he fights Fury again. There is no way in hell Dana is paying him over £10m,
Conor got what £3m for his fight v Khabib and thats the highest purse IIRC?
Jon Jones got a a purse of 500k for his fight with Gane, but with additions is thought to have brought him around 2.5m.
Dana could prob push it to about 4, each at absolute max (even then those figs are prob optimistic) but that would be both fighters getting record purses. Its just not feasible and is the exact reason that Francis left the UFC.
We know Dana ain't going to pay for it so it will have to be TV money or moving even to Saudi
Anyway my point is that I don't want to see Ngannou fighting AJ, Fury etc. He has become a convenient excuse for the HWs not to fight each other.

Francis is 37 and will be looking for his retirement plan . He will see it as him having done all the hard work through his career and if he can earn almost 20x what he got paid per fight in UFC, then I cant see anyway he goes back.

No shade on Francis. He will always have the one of the UFC greats under his belt and he will make loads fighting AJ or Fury which is fair play to him but we know if will be another WWE event where the boxer cannot lose and the public are denied seeing actual HW boxers fighting each other.
We all have a go at Fury for ducking but all of a sudden Hearn is piping up about AJ fighting Francis when for a year he has been telling us that the next fight is against Wilder.

Of course, anyone can cross promote but my point is, the UFC won't do it. They are the biggest player in the market and they will not work with other MMA promotions out of pride and ego.
If the Saudi's come along and offer Dana a blank cheque, then yes it would happen but we are talking about what's likely.

My opinion is that Fury fights Usyk at least once. But it's also my opinon that Fury could vacate and never fight Usyk. With Fury, it's impossible to rule out anything.
If you want me to quantify it, I'd say I'm 65% sure he fights Usyk and 35% sure he doesn't.
I personally have no issue with AJ vs Ngannou or Wilder vs Ngannou. In fact, If Ngannou beats AJ, I'd want to see him fight Wilder even more.
Ngannou has shaken things up and as a MMA fan, I'm interested to see how far he can go. Naturally, I'd love to see AJ vs Wilder too but for whatever reason, they can't seem to make it happen.
In an ideal world, these would be the match ups at HW I'd like to see in 2024:
Feb-Fury vs Usyk
March - AJ vs Ngannou
July- AJ/Ngannou winner vs Wilder
December-Fury vs Usyk 2
The Saudi's coming into boxing has changed the landscape of the HW division. None of these guys want to fight unless the Saudi's offer them a big payday. Do we honestly think Fury would fight Usyk in the UK,for less money?

Right. At this stage I'm more like 90-95% sure he doesn't fight Usyk. He hasn't wanted to fight him until now and I don't see it changing despite all the noise and face offs and contracts allegedly being signed. Fury's words sound so hollow whenever he talks about fighting Usyk, there's no conviction about it whatsoever in my opinion.
I hope I'm wrong and I'll happily eat my words but I'm just not seeing it happen and I think Fury may even retire if he doesn't vacate.

He arguably beat the best HW on the planet and in his first fight. AJ and Wilder stylistically, a more favourable match ups and if either of them gets touched by Francis, they are going to sleep.
Honestly I just want to see Wilder Vs Francis. It won't be great boxing but you would bet on someone getting knocked the fook out, and just imagine it being a super tense exciting fight

That's exactly why I'd like to see Ngannou vs AJ too. It's guaranteed not to go 12 and someone is being put to sleep. These fights won't end with a ref stoppage, they will end with one guy laying flat on the canvas.

Anyway my point is that I don't want to see Ngannou fighting AJ, Fury etc. He has become a convenient excuse for the HWs not to fight each other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yup but thats whats gonna happen.
Francis is 37 and will be looking for his retirement plan . He will see it as him having done all the hard work through his career and if he can earn almost 20x what he got paid per fight in UFC, then I cant see anyway he goes back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No shade on Francis.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's your actual opinion then ? You've said that Fury will definitely fight Usyk in reply to my comment but you're also saying that you wouldn't rule out Fury not fighting Usyk. Which one is it ??

Ngannou is an annoying problem now cos even Hearn is talking about AJ fighting him when AJ should be taking on Wilder. It's just another nail in the dead sport of boxing.
Ngannou should go back to UFC and fight Jones. That would be the biggest UFC fight of all time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he cant go back to UFC he is under contract with PFL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PFL has said they will allow it for a big fight. Dana is going to have to raise some capital to make it happen for sure but that is a bigger fight than Fury V Usyk.AJ.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This isn't about the PFL.
Simply put, the UFC do not cross promote in MMA. If Ngannou wants to fight Jones, he will have to resign with the UFC(unlikely) or Jones will have to leave the UFC (unlikely).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ESPN is in business with both UFC and PFL so they easily do a co promotion like we have seen in boxing in the past. If they money is right the fight can easily happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course, anyone can cross promote but my point is, the UFC won't do it.

Can't believe you have been bought in to the Ngannou hype. He does not deserve a fight against AJ.
Let him go and fight Delboy or someone low ranked.
