Canelo is fighting in May and September. One of those has to be Benavidez.

I'd love to think so but based on some of the nonsense that has come out of Canelo's mouth I wouldn't be surprised if he just continues to avoid Benavidez in 2024.

If Canelo against Benavidez can happen, I wouldn't mind seeing the winner take on Bivol or Beterbiev after they've fought. Obviously we've already seen Canelo vs Bivol before though a rematch would be fine, but Canelo fighting Beterbiev, or Benavidez (who already looks big at super middle) fighting either would be great. Not sure how doable it is, especially this year if the Saudis have Opetaia lined up for winner of Artur vs Bivol. Definitely something I'd like to see in the future.

Canelo is too small to fight Bivol (as was shown) & Beterbiev

It can happen with a simple click of fingers. Canelo just doesn't want to fight him.

Agreed, I have no interest in seeing that fight again.

I'd rather see Canelo vs Morell than Canelo vs Bivol 2.

As for Canelo vs Beterbiev, I think it would be dangerous and unwise to allow Canelo to step in with a monster puncher like Beterbiev.

Beterbiev would ruin Canelo imo. The idea of Beterbiev going up to fight Opetaia if he beats Bivol is much more feasible.

I'd love to see Opetaia fighting them as well.

Would still be interesting to see if Canelo's chin could hold up to Beterbiev. To be fair maybe it could and the ref just calls off the fight after he takes a load of punishment. Possibly the most likely way the fight ends.

Anyhow I pick Bivol to beat Beterbiev. Watching boxing for a while it's usually the more technical guy who comes through against the power puncher. Not that Beterbiev isn't skilled as well, I just feel Bivol is more skilled and quicker. He won't be taking the same punishment as the other guys Beter has knocked out.

Interesting points. Bivol is an incredible fighter with great movement and very nimble. I have no idea who wins this fight which is why we need to see it.

I know that after the Smith fight there's all the talk about Beterbiev looking better than ever but he's still getting closer to 40. Age is going to get to him eventually. It did for Golovkin when he reached that age. He looked noticeably more off the pace in his third fight with Canelo compared to his previous 2.

Against such a slick and quick operator like Bivol he could make Beter look more his age. Yarde is quick as well and did give Bivol some problems. Smith on the other hand was never going to be that type and played into Bivol's hands if anything.

Bivol vs Beterbiev on paper, is a 50/50 fight.

Bivol has the perceived skill advantage but I think Beterbiev's boxing ability is vastly underrated. He has over 300 amateur fights and his ability to cut off the ring and select the right punches at the right time, is often overlooked, due to his power.

I'd give the slight edge to Beterbiev.

What a pathetic robbery of Mayer against Jonas. I guess the judges felt the pressure to appease the scousers after Callum got the pisss beat out of him.

I thought Mayer won but I knew Jonas would get the home decision. Decent fight.

Yeah the hometown decision wasn't really a surprise. Speaks volumes about the level of corruption in the game when you can think to yourself before the fight that Mayer needs a knock out just to get a win and it actually plays out like that.

Fack that show

Misfits show was great

I'd rather watch paint dry than watch a youtuber boxing card.

Meh it’s just about preference.

I prefer it to these mediocre sky or BT shows these days where the fights are usually 1/100’s vs nobodies, and even when you do get a decent fight it just results in a dodgy decision

Last night was actually entertaining, with some great knock outs and great fights

That should be a good fight and hopefully the winner fights Yarde in a big domestic clash.

Hoping Yarde fights Smith

Come on Usyk!

Fury is the favourite and rightly so. An Usyk win would make him an all time great in two divisions.

Personally, I'd like Fury to win, just so we can finally get Fury vs AJ.

A couple of years ago I’d have agreed with you but these days Fury gets right up my hooter, he’s a facking clown gobsheite prik and his old man is a joke. Would like to see them both get taken down a peg or two by a proper fighting man in Usyk who in my option is 100% the superior boxer, it’s just a shame that Fury’s sheer size will probably end up being the differential.
