People are so weird sometimes

Sort of people on here that when a footballer gets injured in a tackle, they then blame the injured player for getting injured

Fury needs to fack off out of the sport. Absolutely killed any shred of credibility he had left with this latest stunt.

Truth be told the guy was already retired. He said he was retiring after the Whyte fight and since he came back he's only fought Chisora a third time and a guy who has never boxed before. He never wanted any tough fights in this return to boxing of his. Total fraud and a pathetic champion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How is getting a cut in training camp a stunt?

What a load of rubbish, he was sparring, had a head guard on, got elbowed by accident and it resulted in a massive cut. Photos and video evidence is all online

Don’t understand the criticism at all, it’s not exactly his fault or is he not meant to spar? If he wasn’t wearing a headguard you could blame fury negligence but he literally did nothing wrongit’s an unfortunate accident
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are so incredibly naive. Still believing what Fury says as gospel.

I've seen the footage, that is not evidence. That clip might not even relate to any injury, it proves nothing. Fury is the master of BS so you cannot trust anything he says.

Some of us thought this fight happening was too good to be true because we knew Fury never really wanted it and has shown a history of ducking fights. We theorised that he might even fake an injury to get out of the fight. If this is a coincidence then fair enough, we may never know, but the nature of Fury, such is his track record would make me sooner believe that he is playing games and getting out of the fight than it being a genuine injury caused by accident. Clearly you don't and believe Fury is a reliable source of truth on this matter.

The video of him sparring shows nothing, but regardless of what has supposedly happened - this fight won’t happen now. Fury has the perfect get out - 3 months for the cut to heal during which Usyk will want a keep busy fight, and the stars will start to un-align, all the usual bickering over the fine details will start, it’ll get messy and never happen, they’ll both fight other people. Fury will probably get his mate Chisora out to Saudi for a massive 4th fight, the facking fraud.

At this point, I wouldn't be averse to seeing the winner of AJ vs Ngannou fight Usyk in the summer and let Fury wait.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
we dont need to see AJ v Usyk again....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
AJ has shown some improvements under his new trainer, so I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the 3rd fight.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he got schooled twice though. just because you improved a bit after doesn't mean you deserve a 3rd
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Boxing is rarely about what people deserve. It's about making the best fight the best and AJ and Usyk are some of the best fighters in the division.

Would you seriously rather see Usyk vs Hyrgovic/Parker/Zhang,over Usyk vs AJ 3?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

AJ is gradually getting his career back on track, last thing he’s gonna want to do is fight Usyk again who has schooled him twice. He needs to avoid Usyk like the plague. Besides, he’s got the novelty fight with Ngannou to deal with.

Surely you can see why it is, that people would be sceptical of the circumstances around the cancellation?

If not, let me provide you with some facts that are worth digesting:
1. The video doesn't actually show any cut or date stamp. Add the poor quality and it's a useless video.
2. Fury pulled out of the Wlad fight on short notice. He has a track record of doing this.
3. This fight has been difficult to make, largely because of Furys demands. He's also come out several times and said he would not fight Usyk.
4. There have been rumours that he has been getting destroyed in sparring and that the training camp hasn't been going well.
5. His last fight was against a guy who was having his first professional boxing contest and in that fight, he was made to look like an amateur. Many said he didn't take the fight seriously but others have mentioned he could now be on the decline.
6. Fury is a liar. This is proven. He will say something and then say the opposite. His word holds no value at this stage.

Usyl is getting older and we saw Dubois have some success. I think AJ has a good chance of getting the victory if they fight in Q4 2024.

As far as I'm concerned Usyk has already beaten Fury. Your opponent ducking like crazy to get out of fighting you may as well be a first round KO for you.

The funny thing is that this does more damage to Fury's reputation than fighting Usyk and losing would.

posted on 3/2/24

I just want to reiterate that I don't believe Fury is afraid of Usyk. These are top level professional fighters. However, much like Khan ducking Brook or Canelo ducking Benavidez, Fury is afraid of losing to Usyk and the perceived impact of that loss on his legacy, stock and ego.

Fury has had the luxury of being able to negotiate as the A side and therefore enforce certain stipulations on fighters, due to his status. If he loses to Usyk, all that goes away.

Fury is terrified of losing to Usyk. This whole aura he's built up of being the greatest of his era would all come crashing down.

Exactly, Fury looks like an utter khunt right now. His stock couldn't be any lower. Blatantly running away from the Usyk fight by putting every single obstacle in the way that he could. Then getting floored and scraping a split decision against someone in their first pro fight. And now feigning injury to get out of fighting the guy he's been running scared of for the last year or two.

It's beyond embarrassing. Any respect I once had for this guy has totally evaporated. He's looking like a total fraud right now.

As has been joked about many times before, the only thing this fraud won't pull out of is Paris. I bet she's pregnant again ffs. And if his kids take after his dad then the boxing world is in trouble.

The Fury's have already proved to be the biggest liars in boxing. You can't take anything they say for the truth. Even if the injury is legitimate (which I highly doubt knowing them) they've cried wolf too many times before for anyone to believe them now.

John Fury already said repeatedly that he doesn't think Tyson is ready for this fight so they have good reason to pull out. Especially when you consider the reports of Fury getting bashed up in training by a cruiserweight.

Fack me mate, do you also fall for those e-mail scams that tell you you've won a cash prize?

How can you expect anyone to not be cynical when Fury is the biggest liar on the planet?

The Wilder fights were before, when he felt he still had something to prove, or he was still capable. There is a reason he actually decided after the Whyte fight that he was going to retire while big fights were out there for him. He's since come back and perhaps unsurprisingly taken a low risk high reward route by fighting his old mate who he had already beaten twice already, and then a guy who had never boxed before, all the while still avoiding fighting those biggest names in the division.

He genuinely doesn't fancy Usyk. Never wanted that fight to begin with. Only took it due to public pressure, the huge amount of money on offer and maybe Usyk looking a bit vulnerable after Dubois. That's if he intended to go ahead with it. Probably after some dodgy sparring where he's looked poor, he's shat his pants again.

I expect AJ to win but it won't be a one sided fight. I think it will be interesting to see how AJ handles Ngannou in the clinch and what happens when Ngannou lands. It's worth noting that Ngannou has a granite chin, so any stoppage is likely going to come from the ref waving it off, on the feet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair but also worth noting that AJ was the only boxer to ever knock down fat boy Andy Ruiz.
If anyone has to power to knock down ngannou it's AJ. Going off his last fight, he might have some of his old spark back? I know not much to go on but Fury looks like a hasbeen at the moment. His fight against ngannou was pathetic.

posted on 3/2/24

I think Buatsi vs Azeez will start off slow but once Azeez lands something big, Buatsi will abandon his game plan and get dragged into a toe to toe war. I expect some rounds to be messy, as both me fatigue but it will be a close fight.

Buatsi via split decision.
