Even if AJ was to rematch Dubois and win, this loss will have lessened his legacy. That's 2 losses he got absolutely battered now, this one even more devastating as he ended it in front of a world record crowd trying to do a handstand on the canvas.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Even if AJ were to somehow win a rematch they'd have to then fight a third fight as Dubois as Champion would undoubtedly have a rematch clause put in.
Unless my name is Oleksandr Usyk there's no way I want to fight this version of DDD three times lol.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Quite possibly. At least if it's 1 each it will warrant a trilogy more than others we've seen. From memory of recent trilogies there aren't many that have been 1-1 going into the third. They've been more 1 sided than that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you really see AJ beating Dubois after what we saw this weekend?
AJ used to be great to watch, however he seems to have had that fearless aggression coached or beaten out of him.
Dubois put up a good fight against Usyk, the low blow was borderline and I think he'd have finished him off had it been an inch or two higher.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
anything is possible, AJ has it in it to beat DD I believe. If he can sort his head out and actually execute a gameplan. Cos I dont think for 1 second that he boxed to his instructed gameplan in there at the weekend. Whether that part of him is gone or not remains to be seen.

I don't keep peddling anything. You keep lying that I said I don't want fighters to get damaged. Something I clearly did not say and you can't show a single quote of mine to show that I did.
My point was simply that I don't want to see AJ (or any fighter for that matter) seriously hurt. That didn't fit your argument so you've tried your absolute best to bend what I've said into I don't want to see a fighter damaged.
I did not say that, I've never said that and all you can do is keep wishing that I did say that lol.

Yes I said that first sentence you've quoted which is "this is Queensbury rules boxing". So what ? Are you falsely under the impression that this isn't Queensbury rules ??
I DID NOT say that I don't want to see other fighters get damaged. Quote me if I did. You can't though because it never happened.
I said that I don't want to see AJ or anyone else getting seriously hurt. That's something completely different. Can you not see the very clear distinction??
All fighters take varying degrees of damage in boxing, that's a given. Why would I ever say anything so stupid as I don't want to see fighters taking damage ?? Ridiculous made up nonsense.

Boxer Anthony Joshua’s tough training regime may have led to a lapse in concentration that led him to speed in a 30mph zone, the athlete told court officials.
The 34-year-old was caught by a Sussex Police officer doing 44mph in a 30mph zone on the A26 in Lewes, East Sussex, on May 29 in his Range Rover Vogue.
According to court documents filed as part of the single justice procedure system, where cases are dealt with on paper alone, Joshua offered his “sincerest apologies” for speeding.
He wrote to the court saying that he understands the importance of road safety and the potential consequences of driving too fast.
Writing in his defence, Joshua said: “I am a professional athlete, currently in the middle of a very intense training camp.
“My schedule has been extremely demanding, and I was travelling to or from a training session at the time and date of the offence.
“The physical and mental fatigue from my training may have clouded my judgement, leading to this lapse in concentration.
“I recognise that such circumstances do not justify speeding, and I deeply regret allowing myself to make this error.”

Looking too much into it tbh.
You can't get to where AJ is without being half decent at the sport.
Heavyweight boxing is entertaining because one punch changes it all.
On another day Dubois gets caught by a banger early and backs off the whole fight.
Both fighters don't have great defence. Both fighters have great power.
It makes for entertaining fights.

Not yet.
I'd recommend the four kings documentary on Duran,Hearns,Leonard and Hagler.
how good was Bruno?
i know he wasn't in Lennox's class, and that he has a reputation as a bit of a clown, but he was the first person to rock Tyson wasn't he? and he didn't embarrass himself against him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was the first fight Tyson had after he sacked Kevin Rooney & his technique was already beginning to deteriorate.
Head movement not as good, trying to look for one big shot rather than work his way in with jabs
AJ reminded me of Bruno
V big muscular HW for the era, a bit too stiff without good survival instincts when he got belted in the face.
Probably had a better jab than AJ though
80s & 90s many more quality HWs round then now ofcourse, much harder to get to the v top in that era

Yeah Bruno gave Lennox Lewis all sorts of problems for much of their fight before Lennox changed the course of the fight with a big hook. So anyone saying Bruno wasn't that good should probably watch that fight.
I'd say the 90's were definitely better than the 80's for Heavyweights. 80's had some tough guys like Bonecrusher Smith and Witherspoon (who beat Bruno) but I'm not sure that decade was as brimming with talent as the 90's with the likes Holyfield, Bowe, Mercer, Lewis etc.
Credit to Bruno though as he won the WBC strap right in the middle of all that in 95. Still not sure how exactly lol but fair play he did.

wtf??
“I recognise that such circumstances do not justify speeding, and I deeply regret allowing myself to make this error.”

not a word of that will be his, that will all be prepared by his PR agent. Makes sense when you have as much money invested in him as he does.
