Liverpool is the most winnable game we could get in the QF should we finish off Juve. We outplayed in 3 of the 4 halves this year and I would fancy us to do similar again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's comments like this that stoke the animosity.

How many times have Spurs beaten Liverpool in the last ten?

How many times have Spurs got past a CL quarter final?

Drew with Newport, drew with West Ham, Lacazette misses two chances at the end of the NLD, Juve miss a penalty with five first teamers out, needed massive help from the lino against us, below Liverpool in the league, a worse record against top six sides and somehow LFC are the best draw Spurs could get?

The common 606 thoughtless reply to that is 'bitter' but in reality they're just facts.

Not saying you wouldnt win over two legs, because I'm not an arrogant chump, but the Spurs board has some truly awful posters (and some very good ones tbf).

From a personal pov I don't mind who we get. They should all be good to watch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I would argue that the first part of your reply is equally as bad.

Would fancy us against any English side left in the competition other than Spurs.

If we were home second leg I think we'd knock Spurs out, not sure they could handle the atmosphere of a European night at Anfield but any other team from England I think we'd have a strong chance against.

Even City, as good as they are I think we are suited to playing them, Spurs I'm never confident against and they've proven that the run of easy Liverpool wins is over.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah the atmosphere at Anfield on a big European night would be a nightmare for any visiting team, no doubt.

Roma or Shaktar would be the most winnable. After that I'm tempted to say I'd rather face Real Madrid again.

Well that will be territory JA606 has never seen and quite frankly I don't think it could handle it.

Stating facts.

Not being an arrogant chump that says the team above Spurs in the league, with a far better European record than Spurs, who have beaten Spurs with ease regularly in the last 10 games between the clubs, would be the easiest draw Spurs could face in the quarters.

Also, you're a long bloody way from the quarters.

I think they're getting there and maturing yes. They also have a WC striker and Erikssen is close to WC if not bona-fide now. Good system and they play for each other. I think the likes of Davies, Trippier and Sanchez can be got at though.

Saying that I was surprised at how much LFC looked like they were gassing 2nd half. We needed to take those chances 1st half.
