Not being an arrogant chump that says the team above Spurs in the league, with a far better European record than Spurs, who have beaten Spurs with ease regularly in the last 10 games between the clubs, would be the easiest draw Spurs could face in the quarters.

Won 5 out of the last 10

And 9 of the last 23 games <ok.

City and Spurs within the last four weeks mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
5th place Spurs a top team?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think they're getting there and maturing yes. They also have a WC striker and Erikssen is close to WC if not bona-fide now. Good system and they play for each other. I think the likes of Davies, Trippier and Sanchez can be got at though.

Saying that I was surprised at how much LFC looked like they were gassing 2nd half. We needed to take those chances 1st half.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet Spurs still needed a fortuitous decision from the referee to escape with a point.

We were shocking at Wembley though, were well and truly outplayed and deserved the thrashing we got.

I would argue that the first part of your reply is equally as bad.

Go on.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You go on to say about how the original comment was causing animosity and then say

"How many times have Spurs beaten Liverpool in the last ten?

How many times have Spurs got past a CL quarter final?

Drew with Newport, drew with West Ham, Lacazette misses two chances at the end of the NLD, Juve miss a penalty with five first teamers out, needed massive help from the lino against us, below Liverpool in the league, a worse record against top six sides and somehow LFC are the best draw Spurs could get?"

Do you see?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stating facts.

Not being an arrogant chump that says the team above Spurs in the league, with a far better European record than Spurs, who have beaten Spurs with ease regularly in the last 10 games between the clubs, would be the easiest draw Spurs could face in the quarters.

Also, you're a long bloody way from the quarters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bit pointless bringing the European record into it. You last won in Europe in 2005. How's AC Milan's European record helping them this season for example? Better to judge on how the teams are doing currently.

Liverpool still living off a CL win back in 2005

Yeah they didn't create a lot at all really for all their posession. Not bothered about the Wembley game and I think VVD is going to work out very well for us.

We're winning 5-0 and Spurs are not.

I would prefer any of the other English clubs to Spurs to be honest. They are too balanced for my liking, where City will attack you and Chelsea and United will defend.

Those are genuine questions by the way not criticisms.

No I don't. Mine makes sense. Could you explain please?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You talk about animosity and then go on to mention every possible negative comment you could. You could easily spin positively to our recent form or talk about the performance against you. Or coming back from 2 down to one of the best teams in Europe. Talk about Lacazette missing 2 good chances but forget the numerous chances we missed. You focused on everything negative and therefore showed animosity.

Focus on the positives and shove your head in the sand when looking at the negatives.

That's the GB school of wisdom

Then you haven't got a clue about football, Thudd.

Firmino has been our best player this season. Look past the goals of Salah, he has been instrumental.

Really?

He's about thirty goals and assists so far, with three months of the season left and runs himself into the ground to create the chances for Mane and Salah.

What's not to rate?
