Saiss on for Costa

FT oh well, can't win 'em all. Another point closer to the Premier League.

that's a good point with vile losing Wulf.

Gain yet another point on Vile. Referee cost us that game in the first half.

Some beautiful approach play - the pace and movement is like nothing seen at Wolves in 50 years. Nailed on for the title.

Cheers for the link, Bute

Should have enough to see off Norwich next week, although not a given. Then a big one at Fulham.

A bit slow to get going but once they shifted up a gear Wolves started dominate the game and dictate the play. Preston as predicted were slow and clumsy and for me show very little real talent. No surprise that they went down to 10 and the goalkeeper should have been shown yellow for persistent time wasting.
At the end of the day though it's another point which keeps us well out in front.

The comms were critical of the forwards for not scoring again to get the 3 points. Personally I would be more critical of the defenders for switching off and allowing them to score. Without that defensive error we would have had the 3 points and a clean sheet.

Sounds like we are still a little vulnerable from corners and set pieces. Still, an away draw with Preston is good enough to keep us 13 points from 3rd spot.

By the way cinci leads the way in the HC comp with 19 points thanks to him placing a joker (18 pts) on our 1-1 result.

Well done the lads and Nuno.

Especially as we have an extra day to recover as Norwich play tomorrow. Fulham away will be a tough game. They have only dropped 2 points from their last 6 games so I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw there.
Having said that, it will be our 7th televised game of the season and we have won the other 6!

We were the better team for most of the game and totally dominant once Preston went to ten men. But don’t think the substitutions helped us much. Decent performance and a point gained on Villa. Mind the gap

I missed the Preston goal, and only watched the 2nd half, but there is a confidence about the Wolves players that few sides can match. Some of the passing, especially in the "final third" was exquisite. A little dummy and back-heel, from Cavaliero to Costa, (I think it was), was enough to set you purring.

I thought Cavaleiro had one of his best games today. He really is our main attacking threat these days. Costa took his goal well but apart from that I thought he was less effective today than his last couple of games. Jota is just Jota and causes mayhem wherever he goes, and he goes anywhere he wants. Despite all that I thought we were missing Bonatini today but by the time he made an appearance Preston had shut up shop and he had little chance to make an impression.

Remember that flick you mentioned Bute and we did play some good stuff today in patches. I thought Cavaleiro, Costa and particularly Jota all played well. And we saw more attacking from the wing backs today with Doherty having another good game and Douglas much better today than he has been in recent games. And there were two great shots from Neves. One inches over the bar and the other brought a good save from their keeper. But Preston are a dogged hard to beat team, and they have an impressive player in Barkhuizen

The difference in the confidence of this side to Ny other I've ever watched playing in a Wolves shirt is phenomenal. It's a joy to watch.

Best I've seen Cav play.

Funnily enough the focus is always on the attacking side of our game and with the exception of Willy Boly the defenders very rarely get any praise.
I would just like to say that today, a contender for man of the match was Conor Coady. He made several vital interceptions after midfielders had been beaten. He organises the defence and plays some beautiful diagonal balls out the flanks and brings the ball out with such confidence you would swear he has played as a sweeper all his footballing life.
Conor Coady is my unsung hero.

From the 20 or so people I sit with at the home games they would go about 50:50 for our player of the season so far between Neves and Coady

Looks like Villa have some problems. Grealish evidrhtjt nowhere near fit enough to play today. Adomah going to be out for a while and Andre Green has hamstring problems
