Who’s “ranting” about VVD?

I didn’t being him into the picture but once someone else did I used him as an example of not living up to his price tag. Which is currently what you and the other scousers seem to think justifies “flop”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not a scouser, i don't support Liverpool either.

And i have said not fulfilling expectations is the reason why Pogba is a flop, i never said it was down to his fee.

......................

What were you expecting from Pogba?

I could say that he has pretty much fulfilled my expectations so possibly couldn't be a flop.

So after 12 months a player can be a flop and after 24 months he can be a success.

As I said, nonsense.

Calling a player a flop means he's been a total failure.

You can't possibly make that judgement at this stage with Pogba.

But you would be lying obviously.

He came with expectations of being the main man at United, the fulcrum of your side.

He's been relegated to the bench recently after 18months of underwhelming peformances, even the manager is getting sick of him.

Well Ronny, no I would not. Ask any United fan on here. I have always said Pogba wasn't as good as people thought and was way over rated.

So you expected him to be this bad?

posted on 27/3/18

I don't doubt a few of you did think he was over rated but by the same token i don't think anyone expected him to be as poor as he has been nearly 2 years down the line.

No, but I didn't expect him to be a world beater either.

Fell free to check out my Pogba articles from 2016. there are plenty of them.

So he has failed to meet your low standards.

Does that not qualify as a flop especially considering many more fans and people within the club had much higher standards for him?

No.

He hasn't met your admittedly lower standards but still hasn't been a flop?

You're entitled to your opinion but most have him labeled as a flop.

Now, if you were to ask me if he was worth 89 million, you will be onto something.

posted on 27/3/18

I'd rather ask how much you think he is worth?

In today's market somewhere between 30 and 40 million.

If we were to sell him I would be surprised if we got much more.

Does it? Can you show me that definition somewhere?

In future, look things up yourself - it's not my responsibility to teach you the meaning of words.

It seems to me Winston that you believe a player can't be a flop just incase he stops flopping in the future and becomes good.

I think you would get around 50m.

I think he's worth around 30m based on his Juve performances.

In a footballing context it is universally used to describe a player who has failed to meet expectations.

It seems to me that you don't understand what the word means and needed me to send you a link to an online dictionary.

How embarrassing.

That is about it.

Although I do think he will be much better in the Spanish or Italian leagues where he will get the time to pose with the ball.

So, a player who gets dropped and loses 40 - 50 million pounds in value (without wages) in two seasons isn't a flop in your eyes?

Hmmmm
