Well done for using the word in a sentence.
Unfortunately you are still using it incorrectly. But of course, it's beyond you to actually understand why.

How am I using it incorrectly?
This should be good.

Seriously?
You're using it incorrectly because it means total failure.
In my view, he can't be a total failure given his situation (length of contract, status in first team, team's style of football etc.).
That's not taking the word literally. It's taking the meaning and using a common sense judgement as to whether I think Pogba fits the definition.
If you think he can be called a total failure then I'd say your view is flawed, because of the reasons above.
If you think he is a flop but not a total failure then you don't understand what the word 'flop' means.
Let me know if you need this written with smaller words, because clearly you do struggle with basic English.

If we're back to that, it's only because you are too stupid to understand what I've written.
In my view, at least Di Maria, Carroll, Mangala and Bravo would be considered flops / total failures.
That's because I am applying flop / total failure with common sense, not literally.
For feck sake try to engage your brain.

Di Maria and Carroll scored goals and got assists which won their teams games. How are they total failures?
There'sOnlyOneReds (U1721)
As I said, I'm applying 'total failure' with common sense.
I don't believe, from a common sense perspective, that scoring a goal excludes you excludes you from being labelled as a total failure.
I hope you're simply being disingenuous here, because if you genuinely still don't understand my point, you're a fool.

No, I understand your point, I just don't agree it's common sense to label somebody a total failure when they have scored goals and got assists which have won their clubs games, the object of what they were paid to do. They haven't done it often enough and therefore they are failures, flops even but certainly not total failures.
Now if you could remove the 'total' from your definition of 'flop' then we could have a common definition, one which most football fans use. We'd therefore have to consider Pogba a flop and therefore the most expensive flop.
What d'ya say matey?
There'sOnlyOneReds (U1721)
The fact that all you need is the word 'total' removed means it's really just a case of you not using common sense, and you being one dimensional in your application of the term - as I said all along.
I'm aware that 'total' could imply absolute, 100% etc., which is why I've gone to lengths to explain how I am using the term i.e. with common sense.
Regarding Pogba, I have explained why I don't believe the word 'flop' fits the bill at this stage. You surely don't need this repeating.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ahhh so you are using it without the absolute word that is 'total'. So we're in agreement, it just means failure. It that case Pogba has been a failure and therefore a flop, thus the most expensive flop in PL history.
We got there in the end!
There'sOnlyOneReds (U1721)
Let me ask you this:
If someone had 100 attempts at throwing a ball through a hole and they achieved it once, would you call it a total failure?
Anyone with a modicum of common sense would know that, in that context, 'total' does not imply zero times.
Same goes here.
When describing a player, calling him a total failure doesn't mean he never did anything positive on the pitch.
That would be ridiculous.
Pogba can't be described as a flop or a failure because of the reasons I have given.
Clearly you will never understand why, which says more about you than anything else.
I thought for a moment that you might get there, but you let yourself down again.
What amazes me about you is that given the time you spend debating on here, you haven't been able to develop your levels of understanding.
It's not as if you go out of your way to be childish. You do try. You just fail, time and time again.
I guess if you're not up to it, then you're not up to it.
Keep trying though buddy, you're entertaining if nothing else.
"If someone had 100 attempts at throwing a ball through a hole and they achieved it once, would you call it a total failure?"
Of course not. He/she did it right once. How could it be unless you don't understand the meaning of words, the thing you accuse me of? Check your dictionary.
"Anyone with a modicum of common sense would know that, in that context, 'total' does not imply zero times."
Wow wow there buddy, stop redefining the meaning of words.
"Pogba can't be described as a flop or a failure because of the reasons I have given."
Which reasons? Because he has a contract? Well that stupid. Most flops are described as flops when under contract.
My reasons are that he has failed to, on anywhere near a consistent basis to play well. He has been nowhere near the required standard and for that reason has been dropped for a youth product, who's not great himself.
The rest of your post is just nonsense so I'm not even gonna bother responding to that gibberish.
