I dont think you understand worth. For example if you apply parity then you're saying fees always equal worth.

Don’t try to get smart.

You went down the whole inflation route for carrols fee in 2011 of 35m being 44m today.

That point is valid if we were talking about cost of goods or some other economic argument

But this is football. In 2011 Carroll was the most expensive British transfer ever, admittedly for a few hours.

To say that right now that would equate 44m shows you’re not actually considering the football market.

I was so gutted with shevchenko, not as a utd fan but as a fan of good players

He was so good in Serie A and then he was like a shell at Chelsea. I remember that CL hat trick the year before he joined Chelsea
