I couldn't get myself to finish Ms Marv either. Episode 3 was as far as I could get within puking. Ms Marvel is the one with a girl in purple jumping around the place smiling and laughed all the way. I think.

Looking back, Loki was good and makes the grade IMO.

Black Adam is entertaining enough it's just messy as hell.

I didn't mind Rampage tbf, can't remember anything about it other than it was fun enough to stream while having a few cans.

Just can't believe more people would wanna see that, given that DC should have a decent following?

Just for context, here are Dwayne Johnson's box office figures for movies where he is the main star:
1. Black Adam - $ 352m
2.Jungle Cruise - $ 220m
3. Skyscraper - $ 304m
4. Rampage - $ 428m

Well there are some factors here… Budget for one.
While Jungle Cruise was a mitigated disaster.
Rampage was a hit. And so was Skyscraper.
Jumanji 1 and 2 both hits too.

So he does have some clout that will put bums on seats. Just don’t give him a 200 million dollar project, which means he’s getting paid a stupid some of money.

I think he’ll be fine but the Money Men in Hollywood will tell him to look at the numbers. You can’t be commanding over 22 million dollars for a film, with his track record.
DC/Warners jumped in too big with Black Adam, should’ve built it up, 100-125 mill budget say. And have the Superman cameo, and watch the fans go nuts for the sequel.

Fair point.
I did rewatch black Adam at home and on second viewing you can see its weaknesses even more.

My first viewing was in the cinema so I was in awe of all abilities and effects.

The kid annoyed me a lot on second viewing, his screen time should've been cut to almost nothing.
The atom smasher and tornado woman should've been cut from the movie entirely.

I actually have to agree it doesn't sound great.

Daredevil was one of the few Netflix series I would have liked to see them keep as it is.

I think Black Adam's box office performance says more about the mess that these DCEU movies had become under the old regime at Warner than about The Rock's star power.

This movie was made under the old regime even though it's been released under the new regime. The decision to give BA his own solo movie before introducing him in a Shazam movie or even a Superman movie is a strange one, especially as the general public had no idea who Black Adam was prior to this movie.

I think the general audience are also very confused about the direction of these DC movies and which characters are in which universe. Even some on here still not sure if The Batman or Joker movies are part of the main universe. What hope for the average Joe?

It does seem that Zaslav has a plan to streamline these DC movies and make them more relatable and understandable to the general public. His statement about not having four Batmans going forward shows that he's not going to let the DCU descend into the chaotic and messy direction they were headed in.

Probably means that Keaton's Batman will only be seen once in the upcoming Flash movie. As opposed to becoming a significant part of the DCU in future movies, which was the plan under the old regime at Warner. Not to mention Batgirl and Supergirl replacing Batman and Superman, but the less said about that the better lol.

The show was near perfect in my opinion and it's ratings were fantastic on Netflix. Sadly it looks like we'll be getting something totally different and inferior to that.

The Kingpin cameo in Hawkeye and the Daredevil cameo in She-Hulk point to a total reboot as well. My prediction is that fans hate it and it tanks.

Trying to top Daredevil will be a tough ask for anyone tbh
