Why was Crystal Skull hated so much? Genuinely curious.

It is pretty dreadful, probably Spielbergs worst movie.
I think the issues fans had with it most were the son Mutt, the over-reliance on CG compared to the practical work in the original trilogy, the subject matter of Aliens, and the fact it just wasnt very good.

The only thing I don't get there is aliens.
Why was that not acceptable but ghosts and arks melting off n@zi faces ok? Or was it just the way it was done?

I think Aliens is less grounded than historical figures being cursed or ghosts. Aliens and literally extraterrestial which makes you require a further suspension of disbelief.
Indy 4 probably has my least favourite extended action sequence involving the human eating ants and Mutt swinging through trees with monkeys and a ridiculous cliff side car chase that never ends lol

Films are subjective but I think describing either WW84 or Indy 4 with that hyperbole is silly. And I say that as someone who thinks Indy 4 was really, really bad.
I liked the concept of WW84, I found the idea of a monkeys paw concept really smart, and I enjoy seeing Steve and Wonder Woman in scenes together. It also deserves praise for mot relying on a big action set piece to end the move.
That saidI also think it is was a highly flawed movie with holes you can drive a bus through in terms of plot, character and many other factors.
But I would prefer to rewatch it any day to Indy 4 lol

Don’t need to argue it, it’s garbage. Still not been explained why a woman becomes a cat for absolutely no reason. It’s mental. Not explained at all in the film. Just happens What’s in ww3, a man turns into a toblerone? Just because.
Only if they introduce Toblerone Man to the DCU
Indy 4 catches a lot of heat.
There’s a lot to like and some things to not.
Personally, the story wasn’t as engaging. The villains didn’t feel like a threat. Marion was played wrong, and just stunt casting.
As said, the use of CGI was too much.
But it’s still better than other films that have come out since.

They may well if James Gunn has anything to do with it lol. It's one of biggest concerns about him taking over DC Studios.
Remember though there’s the Hulkamaniacs team, being formed over at DC with.. Gunn, JJ, Reeves, Alan Horn. And maybe Spielberg and Nolan.
I mean sure it’s fantasy, but just for a second, if that is the team to turn DC around.
It’s gotta be a win win. Surely.

It’s the Box Office Report… 11/12/22
Blank Panther is now at $767 Million.
With Avatar 2 on the horizon, It’s gonna be a hell of a push to hit $800 Milly. It’s gonna be close… but I’m thinking it’s gonna fall short.
Black Adam on $388 Million total.
Now needing that streaming revenue to attempt to break even.
Then again… xmas. Bit of a tradition for families to go to the Cinema, so ok, BP2 will still go past 800.
Immaculate as always String.
I still haven't seen BP2...so my money is still on the table lol
