I've seen the trailer a few times now and it looks like a fun action packed movie. I'm not a particularly huge Antman fan but I expect it to be an ok movie, nothing more, nothing less.

I'm not expecting too much from it, it'll be largely trying to land action and comedy moments that worked from the first and trying to mix that with some variety of getting some new stuff to work. I liked the first one so I'm sure I'll like this one too but it's not going to be a top 5 and unless it's better than the first one, probably won't break the top 10.

However I am happy to see more of Evangeline Lilly on the big screen

I see it's not everyone's cup of tea here but Ryan Reynolds is so good as Deadpool, I'm glad they got him right after the shambles that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I like that idea. Clearly giving Thanos the stone was the one scenario he saw that would let them win eventually, that mirror dimension theory makes sense.

I think the quantum realm has some part in it too, it's supposed to show up in Captain Marvel at some point. That could be where she's been all this time.

That's a plausible theory and one that I would find believable.

Another question I have is what state the gauntlet is currently in? Does Thanos still have the 5 stones and if he carried out his goal, why would he need to engage the avengers? Turning back time seems like the logical choice here.

Thoughts on a black widow standalone movie? I personally would not be excited for it.

Also I think this thread should just be changed to the mcu thread

It has potential to be a decent spy type movie but not sure it would be one that would fit the MCU mould to be honest. If it's sort of a prequel to see how she got to where we first saw her in Iron Man 2 then I'm not sure that's really needed as she's had dialogue with characters to give us an understanding of her history anyway.

She's a great secondary character and should remain just popping up in other movies.
